Who wouldn't want to have a cute Angeloid or two for a friend? Finished this last seasons Sora no Otoshimono last week and I have to say it was a fun little series to watch. A bit much on the fanservice part and it's only getting better on the DVD apparently. Oh and let us not forget the flying pantsu incident that even found it's way to an appearance on Attack of the Show of all places.

I don't I can really say that this is a harem show really but it's kinda like that and a slice of life school comedy show. It's got a lot of stuff going on that just makes it all work out. It's also has a healthy dose of fanservice, sci-fi and action.

The story revolves around Tomoki who is living alone in a house next to his childhood friend Sohara and only wishes for a peaceful and quit life. He's a bit of a pervert and when ever his pervert nature comes out Sohara is there to karate chop him back to reality. It makes for some really funny bits through out the series really. One night Tomoki goes out at night to meet up with friends to watch something in the night sky. Only nobody else shows up and poor Tomoki ends up getting an Angeloid pet-class named Ikaros dropped on him.

Ikaros calls Tomoki her master and stays with him granting him any wish he desires, hilarity ensues and in comes Sohara to karate chop him back to reality. Tomoki trys to teach Ikaros to be more human and with the help of his friends and many interesting adventures that include a city wide soft-air gun fight a mystery trip to a deserted island and hole bunch of other stuff. By this time another Angeloid has appeared and is also staying with Ikaros and Tomoki. As it turns out Nymph is there to take Ikaros back to heaven and we learn a bit more about Ikaros' past and learn that she's an alpha weapon angeloid that is very capable of destroying all of humanity and her creators want her back. Nymph unlocks some of her abilities and failing her fist mission Nymph heads back alone and is punished for her failure and she starts to wonder if Ikaros has it right and if Tomoki is a good master.

The story takes a bit of turn on that as Ikaros' real masters want her back but she doesn't want to go back but she doesn't want to hurt Tomoki even more so she meets up with Nymph to head back. Instead she's attacked by another set of Angeloids who were sent to just collect her weapon systems. Tomoki and gang arrive on scene and tells Ikaros the he knows she's a weapon and that it's alright to use them to protect herself and her friends. While the gang is freeing Nymph from her chains Ikaros busts out the big guns and trashes the other two Angeloids hardcore.

I liked it and really hope it gets licensed in the states as it seems like a good choice. Sure it has a lot of fanservice but it's just so funny that it makes up for it. If you haven't seen it wait for the DVD rips at this point. There is also a 14th episode that will be coming out on DVD which was a "too dangerous" for TV episode. So look for that as well.
