It's a TRAP! Well actually it's not technically a trap so much as just a magically transforming person. Poor Natsuru wakes up one morning to find himself just a bit different than from when he went to bed. Not only does he find out that he's been turned into a full on girl but his Entrails Animal plushie is able to talk now and tells him this wicked little story about how he has become a blue Kampfer and how he must fight the red Kampfers and the only way he can do that is as a girl thus unlike the other Kampfers who just change a little bit when it's time to fight Natsuru turns into a girl. And it only gets better from there.
Soon Natsuru meets up with two other Kampfers another red and a Blue who turns out to be the School's President who makes Natsuru remain in his female form and attend the girl side of the school where much yuri lusting happens.
Of course Natsuru doesn't know quit what to make of all the new attention he is getting as a female but he has found out that his boyhood crush Kaede wants him badly which is nice but she doesn't care much for the boy Natsuru. This is of course a problem for Natsuru as he wants Kaede to like his boy form. The fourth Kampfer turns out to be Natsuru's long time childhood friend who has just gotten back from traveling the world and an all out girl fight for Natsuru ensues with Natsuru only having eyes for Kaede though it's tough sailing for the other girls.
The girls have formed a timid truce between the two groups and lead by the Student Body President. They did this in order to find out why they need to fight which turns out to be a lame attempt for a planet far far away to settle their own problems. The moderators of course are not happy about the truce and Kaede goes into action to fix the problem at first trying to use Natsuru as a boy toy to keep the Pres busy and kick her out of the game. Since that didn't work she creates the white Kampfers to finish off the two groups only that doesn't work out either as the white Kampfers are beaten and the run off leaving us with a soft climax to the story and an open ending.
The very last episode is more like a DVD special as it has nothing to do with the story and is a body swapping special this time around the girls switch bodies with their respective Entrails Animals and hilarity ensues. I liked this series a lot and yeah it has a very descent amount of fanservice (more likely in the DVDs) but it's also pretty funny to watch even if it's nothing that serious or ground breaking. I do really want of those entrails animals though.

Now that everything has settled down from the crazyness that is Christmas I'm going to take a quick look at all the new Anime Movies that have been announced lately that I'm interested in checking out once they get released on DVD and subbed. That's one of the annoying things of finding out about new Anime movies is the long ass wait for the DVD release than the fansub release. We're still waiting for the second Gurren Lagann movie and that was out in early summer. It sucks I know it's just something we all have to deal with. Anyways lets take a look at some of those movies now.
Dante's Inferno, thankfully the DVD will be out in February so that'll be out sooner than later and from the looks of the trailer it'll be an awesome medieval swords and demons tail with lots of blood and gore. Sign me up for some of that.
Broken Blade or Break Blade looks to be a pretty awesome looking Mecha show even if the story is pretty generic with a boy unable to do one thing is sweet lord able to pilot a huge ass mecha that no one else can blah blah blah but the animation looks sweet.
Fate/stay Night Unlimited Blade Works is a pretty long title for a hopefully awesome movie. I haven't ever seen the original series that this is based off but thankfully the series has been released in the states and there will also be a catchup two episode OVA that will be out before the movie as well so I should be able to learn more before the movie is released. From the trailer that I've watched it does look good though.
The disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya if you were disappointed with the second season of the series than this may just make up for it. Hopefully there just wont be so much trolling by those responsible for the series. The trailer though does look really good.
Trigun the Movie is an all new untold story and will be out sometime in early 2010. I'm so looking forward to this that it's not even funny. If you watched the series you know what to expect.
The Eden of the East movies got pushed back a bit so the next one will be out in March but they did it so that they could add more stuff to the movie bumping it up to a 90 minute feature.

Second to last week of 2010 is in the bag which also means Christmas is finally done for another 10 months. Did you have a great Christmas this year? Hopefully you all had a very merry and wonderful Christmas. I know I had a really nice time with my family. Didn't get anything spectacularly nice but it was great to just spend time with family and catch up on things with them. The rest of the week I can't say it was all that great. Also since I don't have any new photos to share it's back to the lovely Race Queen to keep you company on this post.
The week started off with the replacement of the blower motor for the heater in the car and thankfully that was the only issue with the heat in my car also turned out that I had to replace a fuse as well since I was using a little heater to keep the windows defrosted and it crapped out on me last minute. So at the moment the car is doing pretty good and I passed on my car karma to the roommate since it always seems to work that way. Unfortunately his almost ended his Christmas as his car broke down on the day he was supposed to head home for the Christmas break. He got back today and he worked on it with his father for a while but weren't able to fix the problem and while the car is drivable it's not running @ 100% just yet.
Work on the other hand was good and bad it was damn slow this week and on top of that had an oh so wonderful[sarcasm] conversation that went no where and didn't solve anything. Got the oh so lovely Christmas bonus and spent it all on the latest Star Wars Family Guy spoof DVD which made life just a bit brighter. Thankfully the week went by fast Christmas ended with nothing to explosive happening and the there is a giant big window cover in the Entertainment room which will provide many years of fun and enjoyment.
This week was also the end of the year paycheck as well and holy hell I was looking around for Tax information for the the next year to see how much money I might be getting back and everything points to not very much this year unless I'm missing some thing some where. Damn I was really wanting to get some new photography equipment this year. Oh well life goes on but I don't like ending on something so lame I'm just going to have to find an awesome video to end on.

This Shooter Saturday feature is on the HK416[7] also known as the MR556[762] for the civilian market. Lets face it I could fill up this Shooter Saturday with hundreds if not thousands of AR type weapons and I'll probably occasionally hit one or two but I was thinking what would be the one AR type rifle that I would pick up if I wanted one price no option and availability on hand and I keep coming back to the HK416 models from Heckler & Koch. Matching the tried and true gas piston operation of the G36 with the hot-swapable ability of the M4/M16 platform with the quality control of Heckler & Koch makes for a damn fine war machine. Then make if civilian legal and holy hell I want one...badly.
There are several reasons why I think the Hk416 family of rifles are some of the best AR platform rifles available now. Besides H&K's reliability and precision craftsmanship they have some of the best barrels available using their famous cold hammer forging process. After the barrel is their free floating 4-quadrant rail system that can be taken off and on repeatedly without worrying about changing the zero of the barrel. The most important improvement of course is the gas operated piston system which is the HK-proprietary gas piston system found on the G36. This system unlike the regular gas system of the standard M4/M16 keeps carbon fowling and hot gases away from the action keeping the internals of the firearm clean and cool allowing for better more reliable operations.
The civilian model carries many of those features over to a weapon with a legal barrel length and semi-auto only firemode but apparently only shipping with a 10 round mag for those nanny states that don't allow for hi-cap mags. Looking at a starting price of $2000 that isn't entirely bad for a high quality AR rifle but then it climbs from there so be expecting to pay a bit more when it hits stores. Which might not be until next year. Like the HK416 it will be offered in either 5.56x45 or the 7.62x51 so there is also that option to go with as well. Either case some pretty nice AR platform rifles.
Welcome to the second Foxy Friday feature which thanks to Christmas is just a bit late (hey I did start it on Friday but at like 11pm) so moving right along here is the next Foxy Friday featuring the lovely Korean Race Queen Hwang Mi Hee, a lovely beauty who dropped onto the idol scene only a few years ago. She showed up rather anonymously in a cute little black and white school girl outfit and people where clammering to find out just who she was and looking for more. Instant fandom and I was one of those instant fans as well and for a while she was my number two favorite idol behind Aki Hoshino until Elly Tran Ha showed up on the scene.
To be honest being third isn't half bad when you're in that type of company. Hwang Mi Hee is an all around Korean show girl and model and while I loved her long jet black hair her new look is rather growing on me but I wouldn't mind it if she went back to the black hair though. And that's all I got for right now maybe I'll add some more in a little while but this needs posting now dangit.

Long title is long. It is most appropriate though as today I'll be posting several anime trailers from YouTube from anime shows coming out this Winter Season. As far as I can find Cat Shit One will not be coming out for the Winter Anime season, I has a sad because of that. In any case while there are several trailers out there I'll only be showing trailers for the anime series that I am interested in watching which I covered in my preview here...Winter 09/10 preview.
First and foremost today should be the release of the Darker Than Black OVA that bridges the gap between the first season and the second season.
Magic + Moe = Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu and possibly the longest title for this season might be a pretty funny, looks like it'll even have some chibi stuff which is always fun.
Pantsu fanservice galore is the only way to really explain Chu Bra! so might be a guilty pleasure but will surely be the rage/rave of image boards the next season.
Loli superpowered Vampires are still with us with the same Dance in the Vampire Bund trailer so nothing really new there.
Durarara!! Looks absolutely freaking awesome and interesting and is on the must watch list no matter what.
Katanagatari will be another one of those released once a month titles so it'll be hard to find subbed unless it is incredibly good which is how it looks to me but hey what ever and will take an entire year to be completely released.
Another fanservice rich series looks to be the Ladies Vs. Butlers but it also looks like it'll be pretty funny as well.
Even more Fanservice goodness comes the way of Omamori Himari but this looks like it'll be more on the level of action and hijinks than comedy so that'll be nice as well.
Tired of the nose bleeds from all the fanservice take a break with Ookami Kakushi which looks like it'll be pretty nice. There are several other videos to check out so do a search on youtube for it.
And back to the nose bleeds because this one is your replacement for Queen's Blade Seikon no Qwaser is wow...the naughty version of the trailer is a no no for YouTube for a reason but a little searching about on the internet will dig up a DDL of that trailer. I'll just say breast feeding is an awesome way to powerup so long as it's not your mom, cause that would be just a weird (but then we are talking about Japan).
And back to some just moeblob overload vie Sora no Woto which is very much looking like a K-on in a military band it'll be another rage/rave gushing goodness show that will of course be talked about one way or another.
That's the end of the anime seasons and it looks like there is plenty of nose bleed potential as well as some good laughs and fun times a head for the coming season. I'll look at the movies that are coming out later. Depending on how long everything lasts the trailers may come and go as time passes.

What the hell do you buy with a lame $15 Wal*Mart Gift Card that you recently got for a Christmas Bonus? Well thankfully just released on DVD(and Blue Ray) for a lovely price of $14.95 is the latest in the Family Guy Star Wars Spoofs Something, Something, Something, Dark Side a loving remake of The Empire Strikes Back movie. SCORE!
So lame Christmas Bonus spent, package unwrapped and watched the minute I got home this morning I have to say just like the original Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back movie this outing of the Family Guy spoofing is better than the first one as well. I was laughing so much through out the hour long episode that I can forgive this one for not coming in a Widescreen version. I mean really Full Frame who does that anymore. But that is the only bad thing I have to say about this show.
Extra content is alright. I'm not a big commentary person but there is another version of the show that has interesting popup facts which made the second viewing just as enjoyable as the first viewing. Even if some of the longer content ones were harder to read since they weren't always on the screen long enough to read them completely. Another one of the extras is a short table read of the third film currently titled "We have a bad feeling about this" which is the spoof of Return of the Jedi and from what you see there you know that it's going to be funny as well.
There are a ton of running gags though out this show including the classic fall and knee grab skit and it's done by an AT-AT, oh yeah and baby AT-ATs. A lot more of the show's cast make appearances as well as some extra characters. There is just a lot of stuff going on and it's just so much fun to watch as both a fan of Family Guy and a big Star Wars geek. You definitely can't miss this.

Recapping a week in anime news and junk. The first in hopefully a recurring weekly feature where I discuss anime stuff that wouldn't normally fit into it's own blog post because there is just to little to write a full post on. Also sort of a quick place to note breaking news and updates on what I'm watching. Sounds like fun right. Well hopefully that will be what it's all about anyways we'll just have to wait and see what it turns out to be or if I end up scrapping it all together later.
Lets hit on the biggest WTF moment of the week. For the fansub watchers one of the best ways to find new subs for all things Otaku suddenly went down and we lost Tokyo Toshokan. The rumors were that FUNimation was responsible for it due to One Piece subs but there was nothing official on that so I'd still just treat it as a rumor. Thankfully it just looks, from their website, that something just broke. Of course those who didn't have other means of finding recent fansubs were left flapping in the wind and scrambling to find new places for torrents. My suggestion would be to just look at the anime you're watching and head to the official fansubbers' website and start there. At least until TT is back up and running some time after Christmas.
I've been finding several previews for the upcoming winter season and while it's not that many total shows coming out in winter there seems to be plenty to watch. I'll showcase a few of them later during the week along with some downloadable ones that are not viewable on YouTube. Should prove to be interesting and worth a couple days posts...hahaha yes I'm going to be lazy this week.
For fans of Studio Gibli they announced a new movie to be released in 2010 and it's going to be a remaking of The Borrowers a book about little (think action figure size) people who live in the human world and borrow things from it to survive. While not exactly the same I grew up watching a cartoon called the The Littles which was basically the same principle so I'm a bit more interested to see this movie unlike their last two. The title of the film is called Karigurashi no Arrietty.
Last but not least this week is my huge annoyance at NETFLIX who keeps pissing me off with it's incredibly slow anime releases and disk availability someone on either side of the spectrum really needs to get their asses in gear and fix the damn problem once and for all. I'm tired of waiting MONTHS to get a new release I don't know if this is just an issue here in Boise or it's a wide spread problem but I'm really thinking of cutting back Netflix to their cheapest service and going some where else for my anime rentals. Is any one else using Netflix for anime also experiencing this issue? If so how do you deal with it? Also is there a better service out there just for anime titles that doesn't have any issues like this? Hey I like watching anime on DVD legally but dammit all to hell at least make it easy for me (and others) to rent the damn titles when they are actually released not months later.

Zoom goes another week right into the final stretches of the year and next week is Christmas holy cow. Of course that means I need to talk about last week now. This time I decided to wait until pretty much the end of the day to do the review since last Sunday I ended up doing something fun after posting the Weekly Review I also did some more photography work this week as well so you get something other than a Race Queen again.
So after posting the weekly review my roommate and I met up with some friends from the Idaho Motorsports forum for a bit of snow play since it had been snowing pretty good for the last couple of days. We all met up at a fast food joint and headed out to an abandoned warehouse parking lot well off the beaten path and played in the snow a bit until someone from probably the Fedex building next to the Warehouse called the cops and we had a nice little talk with a few officers and were sent on our way.
So that was interesting and all but the snow quickly turned to slush to nothing on the ground again by the end of the week thanks to rain storms during the rest of the week. Friday night I went to one of my roommate's new Dance Studio -- Heirloom Dance Studio and took some pictures for him to place up on his website. I think they turned out OK since I really haven't done much in that area of photography and I'm still only working with the one camera mounted flash. Tried some different things to make it interesting. I got a nice burger out of it. See I really will work for food. You can see all the picture in this set.
This week I also went and took my Grandma's car into have its snow tires put on and talked with her a bit. Yesterday after the anime club meeting which went OK got home and did a bit of drinking with the roommate's and even tried the Hookah out for the first time. Not to bad but you can still smell the smoke in the house and we all have a bit of cleaning up to do.
Last but not painfully least is that earlier in the week my heater blower motor finally crapped out on me so I ended up taking that out of the car on Friday and it was a huge pain in the ass that left me in some pain so now I need to pick up a new motor and put it all back together again.

The FN P90 is probably one of my favorite Personal Defense Weapon systems that are available at the moment. Unlike the Kriss Super V I have handled and fired the SBR Civilian model of the P90 and I liked it. I liked it a lot.
While the military select fire model of the P90 has been around since the 1990's the gun was only made available to civilians as a sporting model called the PS90 a few years ago. Sporting a 16 inch barrel and only a single fire mode for a couple thousand dollars anyone that was legally able to could pick one up. It wasn't long after that that companies started selling the shorter SBR barrel for those willing to undertake the riggers of getting a permit for one. The SBR Civilian model is the version that I fired at one of Impact Guns Open Houses where they brought a bunch of full auto weapons for customers to shoot and they also brought along a single PS90 with the short barrel and no one showing it the love but I saw it and just had to shoot it since I've been wanting to do so for a long time.
The P90/PS90 fires a proprietary 5.7x28mm round that packs little recoil but does some pretty decent damage for it's size. This also means the weapon is very easy to handle when firing and I managed to produce a pretty good grouping while rapid firing the weapon. One thing I didn't really like was the weapons original sighting tool it's not an open iron site but a small optical type that you really have to hunker down on to see it correctly and with big ol' ear muffs and shooting glasses I found it at first really hard to sight with the first couple times I fired it. Once I figured out how to do it though it was easy to blast away with. Another oddity of the gun is the magazine. It's a rotating style loading mechanism that rotates the cartridge 90 degrees and takes some getting used to and can be rather dificult at first to master but by the third magazine (I was using a 30 round magazine) I had it feeding pretty easily.
I liked the P90 before I shot it but after I did I was just in gun lust with it. It rocked and I wanted one but sadly at a good click around $1750 and $2200 depending on options it's not exactly easy for me to get one with my limited budget and then the whole "ZOMG Guns are going to be banned" period after the Presidential elections they were really hard to find anyways. So I haven't even thought of picking one up lately. I can still rent one though from Impact Guns and fire it at the their firing range but it's the standard PS90 with the longer barrel. Actually sitting here writing this really does make me want to go rent it again.
On a side note most people are familiar with the P90 thanks to it's long media history as it's been one of the main weapons used by the characters on Stargate and it's heavy usage in video games like Call of Duty Modern Warfare.

Welcome to the first of hopefully many more to come Foxy Friday features where I muse about lovely Asian Hotties and what better way to start it off than with my favorite idol Aki Hoshino (ほしのあき) who just so happens to be a month older than I am and for being over 30 is still a damn good looking gravure idol who hasn't seen the need to bare it all and that's just fine by me.
But hey just like everyone else I definitely wouldn't mind checking out the goodies either. I'm still thinking of what I really want to do with this feature so you'll have to bare with me on this one as I work out the kinks. I know links, downloads and very nice images would be great but I'm thinking it needs just a little bit more so that it doesn't seem like I'm just piggybacking off someone else's hard work finding all the goods.
You might be wondering why Aki is my favorite idol when there are so many to chose from but I think not only is she a looker with a very nice hourglass figure (though she could stand to eat a few cheeseburgers, she only weighs like 100lbs) but it's also her look it's just so Moe and she go from being a sultry vixen one moment to a cute moe cat girl the next. She gets nicknamed babyface a lot because of her very young looking face which I'm sure is a good and bad thing. What was it last year she was kicked out of a Chinese casino for looking to much like a lady of the night. Personally I like her with raven black and shorter hair than her current brown and long look but I think everyone has their own opinion of that.
One of the only reasons why I've watched the pretty lame International Sexy Ladies Show is because they will often feature Aki in the show and how could you not like that it's just to bad the rest of the show wasn't about her and not those other videos. Just to bad I can never find those same clips on YouTube and I lost my Sneaker file when my hard drives crashed which is where a lot of her stuff on that show has come from. While looking about for things I found an interesting article stating that Aki is dating a jockey 13 years her junior. I only have to say this to the guy DUDE....ROCK ON! Of course I'm not entirely sure just how accurate or recent that little bit of news is sooooooo.
In any case how about a heaping helping of Aki Hoshino links I definitely love the guys at Really Cute Asians as they have a pretty good selection of content for Aki and I know they'll keep adding new stuff from her as well. Another great place to find stuff of hers is on Jappydolls as well, though sometimes their links go down thanks to jackass MF's who like to report links. Jappydolls is pretty good about re-upping things so that shouldn't be to big of a problem. Enough about the still pictures what about those fancy moving pictures. Well a bit of searching about on YouTube will pull up a bunch of nice videos of AKi in fact here is a pretty damn nice one.

If Kanokon straddles the line between anime and hentai then Aki Sora jumps over that line and goes running straight for the hill only to stop short of needing that annoy as piss mosaic censorship to keep it from actually being called hentai. This is the Cinamax of the anime world where you don't get much but know exactly what's going on. Guilty pleasure and curiosity called and asked me to watch this even though I knew nothing about the story.
I'll be honest this is something I saw in the winter previews and thought that might be an interesting fanservice show to watch as a guilty pleasure but I had no idea of the back story which after watching the anime and then reading the back story made me go...hmmmmm do I really want to review this? Thankfully it's only anime so you can just believe what you want to if the thought of siblings having sex (real full blood siblings not step siblings) freaks you out and you are not into that particular fetish.
Aki Sora is an OAD that was included with the third volume of the self titled Manga and covers the first couple of chapters in the manga that follows the lives of three siblings two of which are in love with each other and are having a secret sexual relationship behind the twin sister's back. There's a lot more going on in the manga but I'll leave that to you to find out about.
It's easy to say that you'll never see this in America as we are way to stuck in our still Puritan thoughts on sex for the most part and people would simply freak the hell out about it.
This was definitely something different and whether you're into the incest fetish or are able to ignore that part entirely you'll probably really enjoy this for it's mega ecchi fanservice goodness there's even a hint of boylove stuff as well for those of you into that as well. If you're not into that sort of stuff well it might be better to find a regular hentai instead.

Did I ever do a review of the first episode or did I think that the next episode would come out soon and there wouldn't be any need to do an episode by episode review of Denpa teki na Kanojo. Guess I'm going to have to go back and look and see but I don't think I did. So I'll just move onto the review of the second episode of the three episode OVA and probably go back to the first episode later.
It has almost been a year since the first episode came out so even if you have seen the first one you might want to go back and watch it again because you might end up with some questions about this second episode because I know I did. Denpa teki na Kanojo is a lot like Kara no Kyoukai in that it's a very graphic psychological horror series with a twist. In this case Mr. Blond as I like to call him finds himself involved in pretty grisly misadventures because of his classmates who seem to like a bit of blood and guts. To save his ass he gets help from a couple girls but this definitely isn't any harem show that's for sure. Ame is his constant sidekick as she see herself as Mr. Blond's protector and partner from a past life. In this episode called the Happiness Game we get to see a bit more of her since most of the time her face is covered by her massive bangs. This time around though Mr. Blond meets up with her at her new job as a moe maido with her hair pulled back and she's just a bit embarrassed by it.
The reason for the title Happiness Game is because in this episode girls are trying to get happiness points by stealing happiness points from others by pulling pranks and they are escalating in violence. What starts out as tacks in shows moves to more violent attacks like dead animals and bombs in mailboxes. Mr. Blond gets involved in this game simply because he's an unwitting target of the game and gets accused of molesting some girls on a train (he's saved by Ame's sister when she tells those involved that Mr. Blond wouldn't need to do that since she is his girlfriend and satisfies all his needs) because he's saved he ends up getting targeted even more since he hasn't lost his happiness points thanks to being saved. This leads Ame to believe that something more sinister is happening and takes off to investigate.
The pranks are traced back to the Vice President of the Student Council who turns out to be the leader of the game and is caught red handed locking other students in an old school club house. Her plan is to kill the students locked inside with a couple fire bombs so that she can claim some mega happiness points. She believes she isn't a murderer in the least and is just getting back her happiness points that were stolen from her and her family. Thankfully she isn't a murderer because Mr. Blond and gang save the classmates from the burning building and with that taken care of they later go to confront the VP only to find the President waiting for them as well.
It's at this point that we find out what is really going on and just how freaking crazy the VP really is. As it turns out the VP is the younger sister of a boy that killed himself because the President dumped him for a better boy. When the boy killed himself her family and life fell apart and she blames the President for this and has invited the President there to take her final revenge. Because she knows that no one can prove that she did or had anything to do with the recent increase in violence at the school she tells everyone why she is taking her revenge. At this point Ame does her thing and sets the VP straight in the matter of Happiness Points and proves that it wasn't the President's fault that they lost the happiness points but in fact the VP's brother who stole the happiness points and with that she was defeated. But it's not over oh no. After a little chat Mr Blond and Ame go their own ways for a bit and Mr. Blond just chilling out at a bus stop is confronted by the President who turns out to believe in the same idea as the VP and reveals that she now must get her own points back and shoves Mr. Blond into oncoming traffic.
Ame on her way to work senses something is wrong and bolts to find Mr. Blond, finding him laying on the ground thinking the worse has happened she rushes to his side. And you know what I'm just going to leave it at that and tell you to go find it and watch it as I highly recommend this series if you're into the horror genre you'll definitely like Denpa teki na Kanojo.
I covered the main plot but there is another little bit that involves Ame's sister after she saves Mr. Blond. She's dumped by the boy she likes because of her actions to save Mr. Blond and because she's feeling really down about things she suggests that she and Mr. Blond have sex but Mr. Blond tells her no and that she doesn't need to do that in order to feel better and he even goes and confronts the boy and lets the boy beat him up so that things with the boy and Ame's sister are resolved. It's a weird little subplot but does go to show how much of stand up guy Mr. Blond really is.
Damn good series and it's going to suck major ass having to wait probably a good deal of a year for the final episode like we did for this episode. Hopefully we wont but I'm not banking on it. Another hope of mine is that it'll get picked up for an American release but again I'm not banking on that happening either since it's not childish moe blog, mecha or a Shonen Jump title.

Well well it looks like we got an early present from Halo as we not only got the second part of The Package but the first part as well and on a consecutive weekend instead of next week. Of course that means we got to finish off the two part episode but end up finding out that it's combined still a pretty short episode. But hello bombshell spoiler in the second part.
So I'll just cut to the chase and tell you that the mega big plot devise in this episode is that the Package which we didn't know much about in the first part turns out to be none other than Dr. Halsey, yes that Dr. Halsey the person responsible for the entire Spartan project. She's a lot younger in this version making her a MILF even if she was only a pseudo-mom to the Spartans.
OK so this second part takes off right where we left them charging into a butt load of Covenant forces. No surprise there that they fight hard and fight well running and gunning their way through the ship to retrieve the package. Some of the running and gunning was a bit too flashy with the jumping and gun grabing out of thin air add in the few helmet cam shots here and there and the thing just goes a little bit over board.
To hault their losing streak the commander of the ship starts disengaging the sections of the ship to deep space in an attempt to get rid of the invaders regardless of his own troopers' lives. The Spartan's fight their way through the horde but Fred decides to stay behind to fight some Elite warriors to buy John and Kelly some time to make it to the package. However John and Kelly find them selves just a bit short and floating in space. Kelly grabs onto John and tosses him up to the remaining ship section. Leaving Fred and Kelly behind John has to carry out the mission to retrieve the package. When John finally finds what he is looking for he realizes that it's Dr. Halsey and is surprised to see her.
Freed from cryo-sleep John and the Dr. search for a way to get off the ship and run into one of the leaders of the Elites. John unloads his assault fire at the Elite but is unable to do anything before running out of ammo. The Elite then tosses John an electrosword and they do a song and dance routine exchanging blows until the Elite is able to disarm John.
With the Elite about to finish off John the commander of the ship skuttles the rest of the unnecessary parts of the ship including the part where the Elite, John and Dr Halsey are in order to jump into slipspace and leave them behind to die only to turn around and rescue the Elite warrior before he can do anything. John and the Dr. left to their own devices decide to look for an escape and find it in a small shuttle. Leaving the exploding ship behind the shuttle is soon attacked by a small group of fighters and in an unarmed shuttle the pair look to be doomed once again. Thankfully Kelly and Fred had the same idea and had stolen a pair of fighters and saved John and Dr. until the drop ship re-appeared to pick them all up.
A little boohoohoo about the lost Spartans and the short but action packed episode was over. I still think it's still one of the most stunning looking episode of the series and time will tell if it stays that way but I think the second half wasn't nearly as good as the first half mostly because it just looked like it was too well set up to work in all the extended universe stuff that has been in books yet still seems out of place. Still it's really stunning to watch and hello Nurse...er I mean Dr. So it looks like we'll get the next episode on January 2, 2010.

What a nice week it was. Lots of snow lots of shoveling snow and some even more snow and shoveling. Finally it's beginning to look like winter and time to go out and do some flat spins in the roommate's Subie. Of course that wasn't all that was going on this week weather wise no this was a VERY cold week dipping into the negative numbers, which is usually January weather so I can only imagine how cold it's going to be in January. Other stuff also happened this week as well besides crappy weather.
Last night was the annual year end meeting for a local car forum and the Best of the Year 2009 announcement. I managed to win 2nd in the BOTY in Videographer for my autocross videos but was told that I more than deserved to take first so I was also given the prizes for first place as well. Which meant I got a hat and some stickers which you can see in the above picture. I was happy with that and had a good time at the party.
This week and lately today several anime shows that I've been waiting for subs have finally come out so it looks like I'll be watching quite a bit of anime later today hopefully. Of course you all know that I've also been working on the blog trying to get that updated for the new year. That has taken up a bit of time this week and work has just been going along like it usually does other than that there wasn't much happening. Next couple weeks look like they'll be the same old boring stuff though.

The Malay language was originally written in Pallava from India, the earliest known inscriptions in Malay were found in southern Sumatra and on the island of Bangka and date from 683–6 AD. They were written in an Indian script during the time of the kingdom of Srivijaya, but nowadays, the Roman alphabet (Rumi) is more often used.
Malaysia is a founding member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations and participates in many international organisations such as the United Nations. As a former British colony, it is also a member of the Commonwealth of Nations. It is also a member of the Developing 8 Countries.
