Seattle Trip Day 3

The final day of our trip to Seattle was just as crazy as the other two days. Well rested and with directions to a couple Exotic car dealerships we were off in the morning for the last of our errands that we needed to do before we set off for home. That meant one more trip to Pike Place Market to pick up a couple lbs of Nectarines for one of my roommate's co-workers. This time we just took a look around the top floor which is the food area. It was full of tourists snapping pictures and we did see them tossing the fish around to me it's just not all that exciting but whatever other people seemed to enjoy it a lot and it was funny when they tossed the stuffed fish at an unsuspecting customer. So with the nectarines in tow we headed off to pick-up some special coffee beans for another one of my roommate's co-workers. Getting the coffee beans also got us close to the first Exotic dealership. Ferrari & Maserati of Seattle which is a pretty small dealership on the corner and from what we could see from the outside there were just a hand full of your run of the mill Ferraris and Maseratis along with one Ford GT. Nothing to spectacular really.

From there we headed to the Porsche Dealership which we looked for the day before but couldn't find it. Thankfully the second time was the charm since we did find it and boy were we ever glad that we did. Not only was the place open but the staff was incredibly friendly and nice. Their gift shop wasn't open but that was alright since I was out of money at that point. Wish we would have found it Saturday I could have gotten something. Anyways I asked about new brochures and posters and got some good stuff like a new GT2 poster. All for free but but then something magical happened. The service tech asked us if we wanted to see something really cool. He took us back to the service area and showed us what has to be one of the more rare Porsches in America a silver Porsche 959, yeah one of those. It was on a lift getting some work done so we got a great view of the engine area and oh it was so nice to get a look at that. What's even more interesting is that paticaler 959 was owned by Bill Gates. HELL YEAH we saw Bill Gate's Porsche 959. To me the Porschephile it was just pure heaven free Porsche stuff and a look at a rare Porsche....SWEET! Not only did they have that lovely car but they also had a MB C63 Amg Black Edition in the service department and out back was just about every model of the 911 Turbo family. I would absolutely give Barrier Porsche of Seattle an A++ rating for how they treated us.

After drooling over that we checked out the Nissan dealer to see if maybe they had a GTR and while they didn't have that they did have a nice 350Z Nismo model. With that we were off to our last dealership that we wanted to look at, we went looking for the Audi Dealership in hopes of seeing a R8 model but it turned out that the address for the Audi dealer was good but it was no longer there so a little disappointed about that we finally headed out of Seattle for home.

So now on our way home from our exciting trip to Seattle what could possibly go wrong. At this point if you read all the other posts about the trip the obvious answer would be you guys got lost. And you would be absolutely right. We missed our turn off from I9 to I82 and ended up driving almost to Spokane. So a little side trip later and a few to many pitstops (thanks to me getting sick in the tummy...BLEH!) later we managed to make it home safe and sound ending our trip to Seattle. The above pictures is of all the cool stuff that I had gotten on the trip. I didn't take a lot of pictures but there are some more pictures posted on flickr if you want to check them out.
