Today was the last broadcast of Chunji Radio. Chunji was full of fun as always.

On the last day, both Sungmin and Sunny received messaged from their moms. Sungmin didn't cry but he got red. Sunny, on the other hand, had tears.

The ending was great since Sooyoung, who became part of Chunji was there too ^^

Welcome to the Summer of the Bat. This summer didn't just see one new outing of the Bat but two epic new tellings of the Batman story. The movie of course rocks like nothing else, if you haven't seen it yet get your butt to a theater now and see it. However, I'm here to talk about the other new outing of Batman. The Direct to DVD release of Batman Gotham Knight.

Much like the Animatrix Batman Gotham Knight is a collaboration between several Japanese and American production studios to bring us a collection of six interconnected stories fleshing out many of Batman's many talents. Here are the stories...

1. Have I Got A Story For You: By Studio 4°C. If you enjoyed Tekkon Kinkreet then you will enjoy the animation of this story as it is done by the same people. It is a story where a handful of young childhood friends are hanging out describing their own sightings of the Bat and how he looks and acts while fighting a villain. It is a good start to the rest of the stories.

2. Crossfire: By Production I.G. One of my favorite anime studios doesn't disappoint in this story of two detectives who while arguing the merits of the Bat end up square in the middle of a mob war shoot out between the Russians and Sal Maroni. Lucky for them Batman shows up in time to save their butts.

3. Field Test: By Bee Train. I liked this story a bit more than the rest because I'm a big fan of Batman Tech and Lucius Fox and the two featured heavily in this story. Lucius Fox pretty much by accident develops a kind of Force field for Batman that can deflect small arms fire. Batman tests out this new gadget when he breaks up a meeting between mobsters. A mob thug gets shot due to the force field deflecting the bullet back at the thug leaving Batman with a slight problem.

4. In Darkness Dwells: By Madhouse. This story includes two of Batman's arch foes the Scarecrow and Killer Kroc. Scarecrow is off releasing his crazy mind altering poison even infecting Killer Kroc who kidnaps a priest for the Scarecrow. Batman shows up to rescue the priest and apprehend who ever it was that kidnapped the priest. Shortly there after Batman does battle with Killer Kroc ending up wounded and infected with the Scarecrow poison. Even though infected by the poison and badly injured Batman is able to soldier on and is able to find and save the priest from the clutches of the Scarecrow.

5. Working Through Pain: By Studio 4°C. Following directly after the last story we see Batman as he makes his way to meeting up with his trusted butler Alfred to be picked up. Along the way we are treated to the story of how Batman is able to sustain so much pain and injury in his fights with thugs and villains. While that is a big part of this story the end is probably more to the overall statement of Batman for while he is waiting in the garbage filled sewer to be picked up by Alfred he starts to find discarded firearms. When Alfred does show up to give Batman a hand up out of the gutter Batman is reluctant to let go of the firearms that he has collected. This I think is one of the better scenes of the entire DVD because it shows you just how much Batman hates guns.

6. Deadshot: By Madhouse. In the last of the stories we have a battle between a crack shot assassin and Batman. Hired by the Russians, the assassin targets Gorden in a ruse to actually go after Batman. Batman falling for the ruse, saving Gordan in the process, and confronts the assassin on a moving train. Yet again Batman is injured but is able to take out the assassin who is too busy gloating to notice Batman behind him. Easily Batman is able to take out the assassin from that point on destroying the assassin's weapon in the process.

I have to say that I really enjoyed this DVD and while I got this from Netflix I might just go out and buy myself a copy but I think I'll get the two disk version. This single disk version included a preview for the upcoming Wonder Woman animated movie that is coming out soon. It looks pretty good as well. Batman Gotham Knight is definitely a knock out DVD and one that I think both Batman fans and everyone else a like will highly enjoy and get a lot out of. I watched this after seeing the movie because it took me a while to get the DVD from Netflix but it doesn't matter if you watch the movie first or this first as they don't have anything to do with each other.

This was going to be a review of Persona - Trinity Soul but to be honest I couldn't really get my head around what I really wanted to say about that anime. Probably one of the few anime shows that I've watched to the end just to see how it ended but didn't really like it. Mostly because I thought it was way to slowly paced and I just couldn't care for the character's or their goals in the anime. So instead I thought I'd put on a happy face and mention some Anime news of late.

SciFi channel has begun airing dubbed episodes of Gurren Lagann during the first hour of their Ani-Monday block. I wonder if they'll air the whole series even more so I hope they keep it at the first hour so that I can watch it because I'm always heading to work after 10 during the second hour of the block. I'm no anime subtitle only snob so for me the Dubbing was pretty good yeah Kamina sounded a little boyish but the rest was pretty good. Lets face it people we shouldn't even know what the Japanese track sounds like remember. So if you want to be a subtitle only I hate the dub snob hey go buy the dvds and enjoy it that way but be thankful that SciFi even has an Anime block and picked a pretty good and FRESH anime show to air during that block. I think SciFi did an excellent job bringing us and new watchers alike this awesome show. And yes it's going to get edited for time and content because it's TV and that's just how it has to be so deal with it and enjoy the show.

In [Adult Swim] land a new anime is taking the place of Deathnote (I have a serious dislike for that show) and it just so happens to be a good one ... Moribito - Guardian of the Spirit. The spear welding body guard woman named Balsa is coming to Adult Swim later in August and hopefully she takes out their Sunday lineup of crap programming. Ok so maybe that's a bit much to wish for but damn it that lineup sucks ass for the most part. Venture Brothers being the only exception. In other random anime news the summer season is in full swing and I'm enjoying a few of the many offerings. Watching for the first time an Ikkitousen season and yeah it's chuck full of fan service goodness and fighting. One series that I caught an episode of and dropped soon after was Ultraviolet 44 or something like that. It's just THAT bad. I'll get around to listing everything that I'm currently watching with a short snippet shortly like I did for the spring season now that things have settled down. I really should make notes sometimes about the things I want to blog about because I know I'm missing something important but at the moment can't think of what it is. Oh well at least I didn't bore you with a horrible review of Persona - Trinity Soul.

That was fast. The third movie in the Kara no kyoukai series showed up sooner than I thought it would. This chapter is entitled Remaining sense of Pain and for good reasons. This chapter is set after the second chapter and yet before the first chapter. Apparently it likes to jump around a lot time wise. Hopefully it'll all make sense when it's all said and done but until then I think I'll just go about scratching my head.

Brief Summary: This chapter is more graphic in nature than the second and first chapters respectively. The first opening scene is one of rape and torture. All grit and grime and no pleasantry like the second chapter's beauty before death opening scene. During this scene we meet the main evil force of this chapter a girl named Fujino Asagami who unfortunately is unable to feel pain. During the opening scene she is struck in the back (as we see later) with a baseball bat and her latent power is unlocked. Her latent power is the ability to twist or bend items with her mind. Thanks to this she is able to kill most of the men who were attacking her and she sets off to kill the rest of the men who were attacking her including her once boyfriend (some punk ass bitch who's name I can't remember and isn't listed on wiki)

In comes our trio of supernatural crime fighters Mikiya happens across Fujino after she first attacks the men, apparently they had some history before in school. Anyways he takes her back to his place so that she can shower and rest. Such a nice guy. Fujino complains of her stomach hurting (which turns out to be appendicitis but she believes is a stab wound) but leaves Mikiya's place in the morning and goes out hunting. Well back at the agency Toko is hired by Fujino's father to kill her before she does more damage. Mikiya ends up heading off to investigate Fujino's past where we learn a lot about why Fujino doesn't feel pain and how she is able to bend things with her mind. Shiki though is sent off to bring back or kill Fujino setting up the main battle between the ladies of this chapter.

LET'S GET IT ON! So the main fight between the lovely Shiki with her Blue and Purple eyes and the hurt Fujino with her green and orange eyes (crap I can't remember and I'll have to look again tomorrow for the right colors) is set on a major bridge that gets pretty well destroyed in the process of the fight. Of course Skiki comes out ahead but loses her real left arm (which is why she has the fake in the first chapter) in the process. Fujino of course at this point we believe is dead as we see Shiki plundge her knife into Fujino right as they cut back to Toko and Mikiya arriving at the bridge to find Shiki walking out of the mist. Well come to find out Shiki just cut out Fujino's deseased part and saved her life. Toko and Shiki take off leaving Mikiya to take care of Fujino and us with a pretty desent ending to this chapter.

My Opinion: This chapter so far is my favorite. While I loved the opening of the second one much better than the opening of this one the rest of the third chapter far surpassed the first or second chapter leaving me waiting with anticipation for the other four chapters to come out. I really hope that these movies do get picked up for North American release soon. If not I'll just have to enjoy them however I can. Also one of the other interesting things that I like about this show is the little claymation PSA that they show before the start of the movie. This time it was about not smoking and was pretty funny. Well hopefully the fourth chapter gets here just as soon, until then.

Is Hyuna returning to the Wondergirls? That was the first thought that crossed my mind when I read that Wondergirls filmed their KTFT EVER CF with their sixth member. No details were offered other than that the Wonderfuls wanted to continue working with this mysterious sixth member and that this was the more lucrative CF deal for the Wondergirls. Who can this sixth member be if it's not Hyuna? Another JYP trainee?

It would make most sense if Hyuna returned to the group, but who knows what kind of gimmick JYP will pull to maximize his returns.

We'll have to wait until the CF is released in early August. Until then, your guess is just as good as mine.

With the success that the Wondergirls are enjoying, why would JYP add another girl?

The 5-member girl group were chosen as the new faces for mobile service provider, KTF Ever line of mobile phones. Supposedly the CF was shot with the 6th member, but who she is, only the dancing gorilla knows.

Having a 6th member would be a bad move since the current girls have already established their individual identities. The new add-on would not only cut into profits but also get the media spotlight. The established Wondergirls will not be so wonderful to the newcomer.

What was JYP thinking?

The KTF Ever CF will be released in early August 2008.

What a freaking week. An expensive, painful and barely satisfying week. First of all the car, the pain in the ass one little problem after another car. If it wasn't for the roommate letting me borrow his Subaru to get around to work and what not I'd be in some real trouble so THANK YOU SO MUCH Scott you're a life saver. So what was wrong with the car that it took like what two almost three weeks to fix? To start off with the first problem the Ignition. I already posted about that part in last weeks review. But on top of that the Alternator went out again (Now on it's at least 7th alternator) and replaced that under warranty along with one cut spark plug wire. That was fixed but the car was still tossing a CEL at me which turned out to be the Idle Air Control valve. I tried just cleaning it but nope it was bad. So that was another part replaced. After messing around with that and cleaning the MAF the car is FINALLY running correctly again. I was thinking about it the other day too and I think I should replace the O2 sensor as well because that probably hasn't been changed in years. But that'll be some time later though. I also have to fix a wire that I accidentally pulled out. Turns out to be a turn signal wire so I really need to fix that before I get another ticket for failure to signal speaking of which...

I fought the law and the law won... I did go to court on Thursday all prepared to fight the ticket and what not but guess what. First you have a pre-trial meeting with the DA to decide what you want to do and work out any type of deal (for an infraction it's no deal pay the full price have a nice day). Then next you go before the judge to plead either not guilty or to ask for a court date. That's right you have to go to court to get another court date for an actual trial. Anyways talked to the DA to look at my odds of winning and they were so fractionally small plus with having to spend another day going to court I was like fuck all that shit I don't have time for this and paid the stupid ticket just to be done with it. The only good thing about that is that day I slept pretty good and got a full eight hours of sleep.

The last thing about this week is that I went out to my Uncle's place and picked up a bunch of reloading stuff of my grandpa's so that I can now reload my own ammo. I might want to look at picking up some new reloading manuals but that can wait I think for now but I will need to pick up some powder along with some bullets for the .38 special. That and I need some bolts to actually attach the press to the shelves out in the garage or something.

Son Tae Young interviewed with MBC's Entertainment Weekly about her engagement to Hallyu star Kwon Sang Woo. She said that she didn't attend the press conference with Kwon Sang Woo because it would've been too chaotic. She apologized to actor Kim Sung Soo for all the attention he's been recieving as the matchmaker. Son Tae Young's first impression of Kwon Sang Woo was that he looked very tough and masculine on-screen but he's very warm and sincere in-person. Her nickname for Kwon Sang Woo is Tortured Kwon because he never looks happy in the pictures they take together. She got teary-eyed when talking about all the anti-fans and their hurtful words.
