Euronews- Many people are reported dead in post-election violence in the north of Nigeria, the homeland of the runner-up in Saturday's vote. Gangs of youths went on the rampage burning churches, houses and cars in Kaduna state and Kano, where a curfew has been imposed. Nigeria's president, Goodluck Jonathan- who is a native of the south of the country- called for calm following the result that saw him poll 23 million votes, against Muhammadu Buhari's 12 million plus.
