Foxy Friday -- Miri Hanai

Hey look at that it's Friday once again.  This week has been nice since it was a vacation week even though all I did was clean the garage and work on my car.  With the car mostly repaired it's time to get cracking on this week's Foxy Friday feature who is Miri Hanai (花井美里/花井美理) a bodacious busty gravure idol.  She's been around since 2003.  It looks like she took a little break for a while but with a new Gravure video being released this month it looks like she is still in the game at 26. 

You'll notice that Miri has two Japanese names and that is because in 2007 she legally changed her name from the first one to the second one.  I guess she changed it thanks to a fortune teller saying that it would be a more profitable name.  Not only is Miri a gravure idol but she also has a small singing career, a succful writing career and has been featured on TV, Radio and the big screen.  Truly a woman of many talents.  She's written a couple of novels about one of her favorite hobbies...Vampires.  When she started gravure work back in 2003 she started pushing out DVDs and photo books pretty regularly releasing up to 17 videos when in 2006 she took a break until late 2008 and has only released 5 more Gravure videos since then. She was more active on TV and radio though as she was featured in many different TV and radio programs during that time.  She's also been in two feature films as well.

I somewhat remember Danny Choo posting about her during one of her Gravure Video releases he and a friend went to a photo session for people who bought her DVDs.  Danny's post is gone but you can still see his friend's post here. When I make it to Japan I want to check out one of those Idol photo sessions. 



I'd say check out Jappydolls as she has a lot of listings there but I'm not entirely sure if they still work or not.  Worth a try I guess. 


Japan Sugoi did a feature on her earlier this year as well which has a good assortment of videos if you don't care to search youtube or Dailymotion for them.
