Since I did last week's weekly review in the middle of the week there really isn't anything to new to speak of for the rest of the week. Well OK I had the weekend to do a lot of stuff like another F1 party work on my car work on the roommate's car and this year's first BBQ. Oh yeah some new Super GT news and some new Race Queen outfits. But lets get on with the second half of last week. The important part.
So yeah it was my birthday this week and I got about $100 for my birthday and thanks to the lousy economy that money went to a lot of stuff like gas, food and some car parts. And nothing really fun. Oh well. So of course I had to go see my grandma and thank her for the card and money and then visit the parents for the same thing. Found out that my Step mom broke her shoulder at work helping an old lady. Had to remove a bone spur as well. Ouch! But thankfully everyone else has been doing good. Dad got to visit a really hard to get into automotive museum that I have never heard of before. Lucky guy.
I did buy some parts for the Jetta and I replaced the - battery wire and + battery terminal so now the car actually starts up much better than it has before. I still get the battery light until I rev the engine. Still need to pick up a manual for the car. Took some new pictures that you can find here -- Project Jetta.
While I was able to do some work on my car my poor roommate is still plagued by some asshole coolant gremlin and we just can't get the car to stop leaking coolant. Thought we had it fixed not once but twice only to find yet again a small leak. So that's going to a professional to figure out.
Of course that left us with the F1 party and the first BBQ of the year. Cleaned up a little bit to get ready friends came over and cooked up some hamburgers and it was good. The race was really good and not a run away race like it seems to have become lately. I didn't get that many points so still haven't been able to upgrade. One more race and I'll be able to pick up a major team chassis I'm less than a $1mm away from picking up MacLaren or Ferrari.
And now I'm getting a bit tired writing this before I head off to bed for a bit but before that how about some videos from this week.
Some new RWB goodness showed up. Check out those freaking narrow roads there in Chiba prefecture.
One of my favorite Korean Race Queens at their biggest car show.
