LinkedIn has taken its time to achieve stellar status but as comScore pointed out this week the business network site reached the number 2 spot for social networks in the USA in June (as measured by unique visitors), overtaking former social network darling, MySpace. LinkedIn slumbered for years when it was seen as a cv bulletin board for job seekers, but the recession boosted it all the way to an IPO. It will come into its own even more if it extends our capacity to develop our non-existent ties and our weak ties...[continued]
