Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Finally finished this fantastic anime series the other day and get to write about it.  We were watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood at MoNAC but since we have gone on a bit of a Hiatus with the club I decided I would finish it off as there were only a few episodes left.  Brotherhood is also airing currently on [adult swim] so I've been keeping up with it on there as well.

To say that Brotherhood is far superior than the series that came before it is an understatement.  Clocking in at a whooping 64 episodes it's 14 episodes longer than the first series.   It follows (from what I've read) the manga more closely than the first series.  Oh and the story is just that much better.  Hell even the eye candy got better too.

Thanks to Fullmetal Alchemist's popularity in the states it's already been licensed and sold in the states on DVD so that's a great thing add in that can watch it for free (minus your cable bill) on [adult swim] makes it pretty accessible for just about anyone (The Amish not so much).  And I have to think what can I say that hasn't already been said countless times over.  Honestly not much.  There are also much better and lengthier reviews out there than I want to even attempt to come close to.

I have to admit that I did like Brotherhood a lot more than I thought I would when it first came out and liked the inclusion of the extra cast of characters and how things played out better in Brotherhood than what we got in the first season.  Add to that the short OVA series that came with the DVD releases to fill in some of the extra little holes in the story and you have probably what I would call the best series of the last year.  I'm glad I took the time to finish the series and not just let it sit there on the shelf until we got MoNAC back up and running.

But it doesn't end there, nope we still have that new movie Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos to look forward to as well. Can't wait.  If by some odd chance that you've never watched Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood you can by visiting FUNimation's YouTube channel for it here -- YouTube Brotherhood

Here's a pretty nice Trailer for the series

And for the movie here is the official trailer for that as well.
