Weekly Review

Hello again it's been a busy week with lots of stuff going on and that's why sure enough the weekly review is late again. It was definitely an exciting week filled with it's share of ups and downs and was a very automotive intensive week.  Nothing new on the RQ scene but I happened upon another website with more RQ pictures from last year so snagged a bunch of new pictures.  I'm really looking forward to the first of April as they are still planing on having the first Super GT race that weekend.

Probably the biggest news this last week was that I finally did purchase another car.  I picked up an '89 VW Jetta GL that I'll be working on getting it into shape for daily driving duty.  I already wrote a blog about on the car blog so you can read all about it there.  That was my high light of the week.  On the other hand the roommate with a little bit of my help also got his Mazda RX-8 off the jack stands for the first time since November.  The freshly powder coated rims and brake calipers look stunning and it's now in the shop getting it's third transmission installed.  You can check out some quick pictures of the new shiny bits on flickr, the new pictures are at the end of that set.  I checked and I've almost hit 200K hits on my flickr account.  That's not entirely too bad.  Never did get the battery re-located to the trunk though.  Maybe next year.

Earlier this morning I took in my grandma's Ford Taurus wagon to get her winter tires changed back over to summer tires and that little endevor cost my grandma almost $100 because the lugnuts also needed to be replaced and that was an extra $30 on top of the $60 that it cost to get the tires changed.  So yeah I actually had a pretty busy automotive related week.  I also got a little bit of yard work in before it started to rain again so I'm happy about that as well.

Other than that I did the MoNAC thing on Saturday but minus my laptop since once again my freshly purchased power supply decided to up and die on me earlier in the week and I had only barely sent it off to be replaced so we ended up using someone elses laptop instead.  Hopefully I'll be getting another power supply (and one that wont die after a few weeks) here shortly and I'll be back in business watching anime at work instead of catching up with my blogging...:)

Work was work nothing major there except for Saturday morning when the breakfast bar was utterly destroyed by a pack of giggling teenage cheerleaders that kept me on my toes for sure.  Now I'm sure you're ready for some cool videos that I found this week well here they are.

Cool Car and even more awesome driver
