Fans of the "Hana Yori Dango" drama series will get one more chance to see the cast in action, as a movie has been announced for the summer of 2008. Titled "Hana Yori Dango Final," the film is being described as the last chapter of the live-action adaptation.

This will be Mao Inoue's first starring role in a movie. Jun Matsumoto, Shun Oguri, Shota Matsuda, and Tsuyoshi Abe will reprise their roles as the group known as "F4."

The film is set one year after Tsukushi Makino's graduation. The story focuses on a major incident that the five main characters become involved in, while also depicting the ups and downs of Tsukushi and Tsukasa's relationship.

Filming is scheduled to take place overseas for about two months, starting in January. The series' director Yasuharu Ishii will helm the picture. The story is currently being developed by the original mangaka Yoko Kamio and the series' screenwriter Mikio Satake (actor Takayuki Takuma).

Hana Yori Dango is a very solid series that deals with growing up, finding one's place in life, and not letting anything get you down no matter what. Tsukushi is the kind of character that you can't help but root for, because you know she's doing the right thing. And each episode reflects that - she even makes friends out of the F4, even when they're fighting, and they end up seeing her as much more than an adversary, but a genuinely cute girl who (gasp!) thinks for herself. She refuses to be subservient to them (she knocks out Tsukasa a couple of times), and they don't know whether to be irked or awed. She's not intimidated by the fact that they're the sons of company presidents, politicians, and entertainers that they're so powerful that school faculty practically kowtows to them. It's as if the F4 wasn't really complete until there was someone to really challenge them. Or, alternatively, be a love interest

well, for me, HANA YORI DANGO is one of the best. All the Jdoramas ive seen are all great! Ive seen gokusen 1 and 2 and like hana yori dango, it’s the best. All I can say, is that you should not miss an episode of this drama cause it has a very nice story. I always tell my friends to watch it. We always text each other about the show. We’re all addict in this drama. The cast are also great. I like Tsukasa ( Matsumoto Jun) a lot more than Rui ( Oguri Shun). Makino Tsukushi did a great job also. The episodes are great even some scenes are unrealistic. Yet, I watch it to get some lessons about love and everything. It’s a mixed genre of romance and comedy. Love it a lot. I just watched it last summer. Ive read that it has a sequel. Can’t wait to see it. All in all, I love HANA YORI DANGO very much. I love the story, the cast, the love triangle or love square I thought, the episodes and everything. Thanks JDorama for this very beautiful drama.

Meteor Garden or Hana Yori Dango?

This is only my opinion about the two dramas I was once hooked into.

If I would choose between the two, it would probably be HANA YORI DANGO! (sorry to the solid Meteor Garden fans there). I was also a fan of Meteor Garden before and maybe until now! I’m still watching MG in GMA. But for me, HANADAN is really great than Meteor Garden. You may wonder why I’m in favor with Hanadan even if we all knew that the two dramas have the same story. Guys, I’m only pointing out the best one for me.

Actually, the original one was a shouju manga or comics. It was a Japanese comics but then I don’t know why Taiwan were the first one who aired the live action of the manga starring their local actors and entitled the drama Meteor Garden. It was in 1999 back then. In 2005, the Japanese version with the same name of the manga was aired. It was continued with a season two just on the first months on this year and was already finished. I haven’t seen the season 2 but if I have time, I’ll surely watch it and share with you my insights about the second season.

About the characters: I would also choose the Japanese stars because I do love Matsumoto Jun (Doumyouji Tsukasa) than Jerry Yan (Dao Ming Zi), Inoue Mao (Makino Tsukushi) than Barbie Xu ( San Chai), Oguri Shun (Hanazawa Rui) than Vic Zhou (Lei) and the two members of F4 in the Japanese version, Abe Tsuyoshi (Mimasaka Akira) and Matsuda Shota ( Nishikada Soujiroh) than Ken and Vaness.

GMA, uniqueness is a must!

Even I do love GMA for airing the Hana Yori Dango which is one of my favorite Jdoramas, but please GMA, have an originality. I was really shocked when my friends have told me that GMA will be airing Meteor Garden (again??!!). We all know that ABS-CBN were the first one who aired the Taiwanese drama which really rocks the country. But then, currently, the station is airing the drama. Well, I can’t do anything with that to stop them since maybe it is a huge down on part of the ABS-CBN. I don’t know how GMA got the rights to air the show but all I can say is that GMA should just stick first to Jdoramas since as far as I know they were really the first one in the country who aired Jdoramas starting from Gokusen.
