Like all parents, they want to know when their newly married son/daughter will have kids. Kwon Sang-woo revealed to the press that they would like to have kids as soon as possible. He added that 3 kids would be fabulous but his bride is afraid that she will mess up her body so they decided on 2.

Kwon Sang Woo held a press conference last July 19, 2008 to talk about his marriage plans. He shared stories about Son Tae Young, from how they met and how it led to a marriage proposal. Many people wondered if Son Tae Young didn't make it to the conference because she's pregnant. He dodged questions about the pregnancy rumors. But it was confirmed that they will exchange vows on September 28, 2008.

Son Tae Young interviewed with MBC's Entertainment Weekly about her engagement to Hallyu star Kwon Sang Woo. She said that she didn't attend the press conference with Kwon Sang Woo because it would've been too chaotic. She apologized to actor Kim Sung Soo for all the attention he's been recieving as the matchmaker. Son Tae Young's first impression of Kwon Sang Woo was that he looked very tough and masculine on-screen but he's very warm and sincere in-person. Her nickname for Kwon Sang Woo is Tortured Kwon because he never looks happy in the pictures they take together. She got teary-eyed when talking about all the anti-fans and their hurtful words.
