Now it looks like SCANDAL is going to be even bigger with the announcement that they will be heavily featured in the upcoming anime movie Loups-Garous which is based on the Loups-Garous Kihi Subeki Ōkami virtual reality mystery novel. A quick synopsis of the movie is that a handful of teenage girls leave the virtual reality world to investigate the rash murders of local teen girls. The girls admire the rock band SCANDAL which is how they play the part in the movie. The movie will be out in the Japan sometime in August 2010.
SCANDAL is set to play the opening, ending and a song played within the movie. The members of the band will be digitized and play themselves in the movie with a bit of dialogue as well.
This isn't the first time the girls have been animated either as the girls have a few music videos out where they are animated as well. So while I was mildly interested in the movie at first thanks to the production staff and people involved in making it (Production I.G) finding out that one of my favorite Jpop bands is going to be heavily involved makes me even more interested.
