On August 29th, SM entertainment announced the launch of their American division, SM Entertainment USA. This follows YG and JYP's aspirations of bringing Korean artists into the American market and possibly moving BoA one step closer to USA's music industry.
One person cautiously said, "It is highly likely that there will be an official announcement as soon as discussions with BoA's Japanese management come along. BoA will delay her comeback in Korea to prepare for her advancement to America's market. The possibility of this being confirmed in September is high. They will announce it at least within this year and the chances for advancing towards America next year are quite high."
On the other hand, SM entertainment has consistently kept their mouth closed. One official said, "There is nothing yet to be revealed. Challenging the world's music industry, with her popularity established in Korea and Japan as her background, is a given basic strategy that hasn't changed."
