So thus concludes another week in the life of the Hillbilly Otaku and some things never change. Work and sleep were the prevailing things that happened. Nothing to exciting about that. This that did happen this week though include both good and bad things.
First of all my hands....ouch...they got dried out badly enough to where for most of the week they have been cracking and peeling and not in a good way. It sucks I have to wear gloves all the time to keep me from picking at my skin all day long and making a bad situation much much worse. Six bandaids are on my hands to keep my joints from bending much and cracking the skin even more than they are so they can heel but I can't put bandaids on the worse part the finger tips (also cracked) and the skin in the web of my left hand that split rather nicely. The gloves help and the hands are healing they're just not healing fast enough.
The good thing...tax returns. Oh hello money...oh good bye money. Put the money to pay off the stupid Direct deposit advance loop that I was in thanks to the roommate. That'll save me some money there. I also made a large payment on the credit card, not as large as I should have but hey I also dumped some money into my savings account in hopes of actually saving some money this year. Something I tried last year but once again roommate problems prevented me from doing that.
In addition to the bill paying I've also splurged a lil' bit and ordered some new things like a nice big fat 500gb harddrive. Should be nice to have some extra room to sort out some of my files that are spread out over various DVDs. I also ordered a Photo tent for some better product shots and a holster for the Mosquito.
Something even more odd but much more Otakuish than the rest was that I broke my figure cherry and pre-ordered a Gothloli Haruhi figure. It looks very cute I must say but I don't think my diecast collection will aprove after all for the price ($80) it means there will be one less Porsche added to the collection this year. last but not least by any means is the progression of the house and removal of the roommate. The roommate's stuff is all but gone I have a back yard again and it took two huge construction dumpsters and two smaller dumpsters to remove all of his junk from the back yard. The painting of the inside is all complete and there will be some floor and tile people in on Monday to finish up the kitchen. I'll still have the house to myself until the end of February though which is kind of a nice thing but I do get lonely being the only one at home all the time. Oh and thank goodness I'll get my Friday and Saturday's off again starting with the second week of February.
Other than that it's been work and sleep so until next week...take care.
