Finished The Third: The Girl with the Blue Eye this morning. Took a while thanks to Netflix sometimes crappy ordering schedule which seems to forget about a series half way through making you wait an extra month before they get the rest of the disks. It's still better than spending a small fortune on DVD animes that you want to watch but have no interest in owning.
Brief Summary: Honaka is the girl with the blue eye and by blue eye I mean third blue eye. The Third are a race of Aliens who have a red third eye and they all look like Elves. So yeah Honaka is an off shoot of the third a failure in their eyes as her third eye is blue. Honaka makes her life taking on odd ball jobs from protecting people to slaying large mutant bugs in the deserts. Honaka doesn't go anywhere without her talking tank (which I think is totally bad ass) or her beloved, cut anything, Katana. For the most part the episodes are self contained stories with a little bit of main over all plot tossed in to keep you wanting to see more.
My Opinion: Honestly I don't think I could recommend purchasing this until maybe it came out as a collection and had a good price point. However, I definitely would recommend checking it out on Netflix (now that all the disks are available and easy to get you could probably marathon it in a week) though as it is a good show but just not good enough to warrant spending the big bucks for. I can't really think of anything else to say I mean it was enjoyable and fun to watch but nothing just stands out.
