Finally finished watching the anime version of Witchblade. I collected most of the comic series and picked up the two Volumes of the Manga version so it's safe to say that yes I'm a Witchblade fan. Not so much of the comic anymore since they changed artists some time back like a year or two ago. I don't know exactly when I stopped getting it but yeah anyways that is another story indead.
So yeah the anime. I downloaded it way back when and watched about half of it straight away. Then it got shoved back on the back burners for some time as other more interesting things were available. Not to say that Witchblade wasn't interesting it's just well it was rather predictable and slow going at times. I really thought I'd really really like this anime as the still images looked great I mean what wasn't to like about the big boobs and shapely curves of all the "sisters" hot hot hot. Of course it came from Gonzo so what could you expect from them other than lovely eye candy.
Plot wise it's alright character wise it's ok but the action is so little and so fast it just seems like a second thought just to show of the hot outfits. At the end though I did get teary eyed ... I won't give any spoilers away but you can see the ending coming a mile away.
In the end if you like the witchblade stuff it's not even close to the comics or even the manga it's totally stand alone so you don't need to know anything at all about the witchblade franchise to either enjoy this or hate it. I say it's worth a rent but not a rush out and grab it before it's gone. I'll be picking it up here and there when I can because the DVDs come with interesting stuff and great new art stuff. Plus I really just want to see what they uncensored for the DVD release.
