The reason why this weekly review post is late is thanks to the two days of Autocross. I wasn't going to go to the first day but a couple interesting cars showed up so I had to go. I'll be posting on the other blog in a couple days and I'll link to that here. Sunday was an interesting autocross day as well. Follow that up with Halloween and trick or treaters and I was done for the day. Monday was just a day to get all the videos and pictures sorted out. I got the event pictures for Saturday done and I'll be working on Sunday's tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have everything done by Thursday.
Since I took a vacation week I was going to do a lot of work on my car but a simple brake pad job turned into a lot larger job thanks to one of the rear disks being almost entirely ground down to nothingness. Check out the picture. Pretty nasty and you should definitely check all your brakes before you decide that you don't need to replace some pads based on only looking at one side of the car. So instead of just replacing the pads I ended up having to replace one of the disks as well. And while replacing the disk I managed to mess up the caliper while I was turning the piston back in. Since the price and work to rebuild the caliper was not looking like a fun time I just got a new caliper instead. Of course the new caliper didn't like the old brake line and leaked a lot which meant I had to figure out how to fix that issue. Liquid Teflon thread sealant did the job and almost everything is good. For some reason my parking brake light is on and I can't figure out why.
Thanks to the longer than normal brake job I didn't get a whole lot of other stuff done that I wanted to do. I'll have to do the oil change next weekend I guess. While I was chilling in the middle of doing the brake job I did get a lot of Anime watched. Finished a couple series that had been on the back burner for a while and a few anime movies as well.
With all that said and done the week was pretty good I liked not working for a while and I think I got enough done to make it worth it. Also I found some cool videos for the video of the week.
