Seitokai no Ichizon is an interesting take on the anime in a box as the series takes mostly in the Student council room where the members of the student council care on their day to day lives while talking about totally unrelated things. The members of the student council are voted in by popularity so the group is made up of various stereo typical cute girls and the one boy who worked hard to be appointed to the student Council. His role varies between the caring older brother who stays late all the time and actually gets the work done that they were supposed to do instead of talking about random things. Then he has his pervert side where he tries to turn the group of girls into his little harem. They of course are not falling for it.
It's interesting that the last episode is one of those..."this is how it all started" flash back episode where we get to see why the boy wants to badly to be a part of the student council and how each of the girls in their own way helped push and help him get there.
Not only is the series a school slice of life series but they take several liberalizations in doing parodies of just about any popular anime series that came before it. It makes the anime in a room type series actually bearable it also doesn't hurt that the girls are cute even their school uniforms are super cute. But like I said in the first paragraph it just wasn't the best of the best and I'd probably rank this a rentable title if you really like that sort of series. Well that is if it's every licensed for release here in the states. Also if I remember right there just isn't that much fanservice of the series either and that's a pretty big indicator on just how big a series is to others as well. I definitely wish there was more fanservice of their adviser. She was a hottie in a mini skirt and just poking out garter straps. Nice.
