Autobacs Super GT Rd 1 -- Okayama

Finally getting around to blogging about the first round of the Autobacs Super GT first round held at Okayama during a very wet March weekend. Honestly this is my first time blogging about a race so I'm sitting here looking at my notes wondering what the hell I'm doing. Yes I wrote notes during the race so that I could remember what the hell was going on besides cars going zoom zoom around a track. I guess the best way to go is to split the race into it's two groups the GT500 group and the GT300 group as as much as everyone is going gaga over the new Nissan GT-R I find that the GT300 group is more interesting to watch and during this opening race that was very much the case.

The GT500 race was fairly boring since the contention for 1st place was made during the first lap of racing as the HIS Nissan GT-R staid in 1st place the entire race leaving the battling to 2-3 place and even that wasn't nearly as interesting as what was happening back in GT300 group. The one non-Japanese entrance in the GT500 group was an FIAGT (I think) Aston Martin DBR9 that had a hard time not getting lapped by everyone. A little looking around it might be the fault of a poor setup and limits that are set for that series of cars.

Now the GT300 group was a lot more interesting to watch as there were countless battles for different places and the entire field of cars is made of different cars so there is something for everyone to like. I didn't see any 350Z cars though and there was even a lot less Porsche 911 cars as well. What I did like to see again was the Studio GLAD Racing BMW Z4GTR from last year making a come back and even though it only finished in 15th place at least this year it finished a race. I'm going to be looking forward to seeing it race more throughout the year. There are also a handful of Ferrari and Lamborghini fielded cars as well. There are even a couple of purebred race cars (I can't think of what to actually call them but they look like older LeMans and Can-am prototype cars). The GT300 race was won by the Lexus IS350 but more impressive was Autobacs odd duck race car that ended up battling back from 7th place to take 2nd. Impressive.

Since this was a very wet race it wasn't unusual to see a few cars over cooking corners and ending up off course or even sometimes getting into a bit of a bang up with other cars. And even though I'm a big fan of the smash ups Super GT wrecks don't look all that spectacular and pretty boring. Guess I'll just get my smash up fix from lame ass Nascar. All in all it was a great race even if I was getting bored around the 2hr mark when things started getting repetitive and boring until the Autobacs/Arta race car started making it's move up the field. Now at least I can watch the second race and get to blogging about that. Now I just need to find a good source of Super GT race car pictures. So far one of the better places that I've found is this guys collection on flickr and I hope he doesn't mind me borrowing his image for my blog post. I tried last year to get a media pass for SuperGT.net but they never got back to me about any of it so didn't try to apply this year as well.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann 1st Movie

Gurren Lagann Guren Hen is the first movie that combines the first 15 episodes of the series into a nicely condensed movie format which includes some 20 minutes of new animation. It was released on DVD April 22nd in Japan and was shortly subbed and watched by myself and others. As a huge fan of the series I must say that it rocks and I'm impatiently awaiting Bandai's US release. I know I've said that the series is a must buy and while I just haven't had the money to do so my self I've been watching it (twice now) on Scifi channel, getting the DVDs from Netflix and buying some stuff here and there to support my Gurren Lagann (and more honestly Yoko) addiction. However with a movie edition I can easily afford that and hey it even has new animation in it too.

I wont really bore you with the details of the stuff that you've already seen and honestly it wraps up a lot of the crew gathering episodes (but short changes us the bathhouse fanservice goodness) into a short lil' montage but leaves in most of the battles up until the big boss battles. That's where a lot of the new animation comes in. The ending boss (the four generals) battles get rolled into one massive combining mecha slug fest that is just freaking epic. Kamina still dies and I still shed a tear because of it. We get to see a lil bit more of the lovely Yoko (rumors are her nipples make an appearance in the second movie...WOWZERS) and we leave off at the end of the movie right before the attack on Lord Genome himself.

I WANT THIS DVD BADLY! Not only is it the movie but it might also include the new Yoko music video as well. That's what the Japanese version came with, I'd like that and a DVD copy of the Parallel Works stuff as well. Those were awesome little shorts. Anyways more Gurren Lagann stuff is always appreciated I just wish it would all make it here to the states ASAP so that I can buy it and enjoy it while supporting the arts so to speak. I also need more Gurren Lagann revoltech figures as well dang it.

Just because I <3 Yoko that much here is the preview for the Yoko Idol CD/Music Video that apparently is getting released next month and not with the DVD of the movie I guess I don't know actually, I wish they would just make up their mind already.

Moe Princess Mio

Every season there seems to be the one stand out Moeblob princess that everyone flocks to and gets the greatest amount of fanservice interest and it's already easy to declare Spring 2009's Moe Princess as K-on!'s own Akiyama Mio. With only 4 episodes aired so far Mio seems to be the number one Moe hit of the season with 612 images on Danbooru (as of this posting) alone and countless others floating around the Internet on different Chan and booru type sites it's easy to see there just isn't any stopping Mio's climb up the Moe ladder even the other girls of K-on agree Mio is Moe Moe Kyun.

While no one can take the place of my number one Moe Princess Yoko, from Gurren Lagann, in my opinion it's hard not to agree that Mio is Moe to the max and that K-on! is a knock out sensation. I haven't seen such heated debate (if you can call all that bitching debate) on /a/ in some time so you know if it's a battle between /a/ it's worth a look. I personally like it (a chibi Mio even made it to my cell phone wallpaper) and have a good laugh every time I watch it. The ending song is fantastic and one of the better ones of the season.

Comiket 76, I believe, will be chuck full of K-on! goodness and I just don't see any stop to the madness of Moe Princess Mio fanservice. Enjoy the popular ending of K-on! while you surf the very NSFW danbooru link. A little afterthought: I'll go so far as to say that I believe Mio will either clinch the title of Fakku's 2009(or is that 2010?) Mote Mote Character Battle or at least finish in the top three. That is how powerful Mio's Moe-ness is.

Speedy weeks are speedy weeks. Nothing to exciting happened during the week. Roommate and I tried each day to put the window A/C units in but were always putting it off until the next until we finally did it on Sunday. Yes it's already getting hot enough to use the A/C pretty pathetic isn't it. Work of course was the same nothing really different there minus the new cute chick who OMFG actually folds laundry too. She gets an A+ so far for that. Could also be because she's hispanic with jet black hair and we know how much I like the jet black hair types.

Saturday was pretty good with a nice ride up to Idaho City with the roommate and the small group of the Idaho Rotary club members. Scott was having a good time since he finally got the A/C fixed in the black Mazda RX-8 and we saw how good the car could run. It was my first time going up to Idaho City but it's a nice mountain drive with some good twisty roads but the slow ass traffic with few passing spots can be a major pain in the ass. I did take some video (would have taken some pictures too but no chance to take any rolling pictures) and I'll have those probably uploaded tonight and I'll have them posted then.

I was able to download the second round of the Autobacs Super GT race but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Since I haven't taken any pictures and there really isn't anything better to post enjoy the lovely Race Queens of Zent. I have found some more here and there but I'll keep my eye out for more.

Training with Hinako!

What will the Japanese think of next. This time around it's an anime training DVD to get anime loving Otaku into shape. Or at least that's the idea. After reading about it here and there on Dannychoo.com and Otaku.fm I was curious enough to download it and take a look at it. There is a 6 minute long one that is subbed and there is an even larger raw file. The reason for the two different ones is that the subbed one only has the parts that need to be subbed and the first outfit apparently the larger raw one has more outfits.

This first DVD just covers push-ups, crunches and squats all in glorious booby jiggling goodness and how she never pops out of her little tank top I don't know, anime physics I suppose. Does it do a good job of being an exercise DVD I wouldn't know I was laughing to hard to even think about that and I'm sure that most Otaku will instead just be working out an arm rather than doing the actual exercise routines.

Indeed the DVD has proven to be so popular and successful that it rocketed to the number one spot at Amazon even beating out the Gurren Lagann movie.

As a side note is this really any different than when we were growing up watching those early morning exercise programs that you could occasionally catch on TV with the very fit young usually blonde woman in spandex who we had no intention of exercising with we just watched for the same exact reason as why we are actually watching Training with Hinako, yeah I didn't think so. Well here's looking forward to more training with Hinako DVDs because we know they're coming. If you haven't check it out I'd suggest checking it out for the Lulz because if you really wanted to get in to an exercise routine I'd suggest getting a real training program DVD and consulting your Doctor before doing anything. In the mean time you can check out for Hinako ecchi goodness here.

It's that time of year again and Super GT racing action is back on and I actually managed to get GOOD videos of the first round and I'm currently getting the second round as I type (yeah OK so I'm a bit slow to get going this year) the only problem is that the shows are almost 3hrs long but it's all awesome racing. This year, like all forms of racing, have suffered a bit in the economic downturn and there are less cars fielding both groups this year.

The GT500 field has only 15 cars running and it's the Nissan GT-Rs vs Toyota/Lexus SC430s vs Honda NSX but also running (maybe not the entire year) is an odd duck of sorts and the only non Japanese car an Aston Martin DBR9. The GT300 field is once again a wide assortment of cars ranging from Autobacs own ASL Garaiya to only a handful of Porsche 911 cars and making a comeback this year is the Itasha BMW Z4 of Studio GLAD Racing and Good Smile Racing. I'm looking forward to a good showing of that car this year. The GT300 field has a total of 23 cars running.

Of course what is a new Super GT race season without a new bunch of cutie race queens. Haven't seen many images posted yet but hopefully that will change and I'll keep an eye out for any new Gals Paradise Race Queen books and maybe pick one up again. Of course there isn't that many available pictures of the cars either and to be honest I have a harder time hunting down good quality images of the race cars than I do the race queens. In any case look forward to hopefully some good blogs about the 2009 Autobacs Super GT season during the coming year.

My 1st DMCA Violation

Guess there is a first time for every thing and yesterday I found that out the hard way. Turned on the computer and NO INTERNETS...ZOMG! Turns out that today I got to experience my first ever DMCA Violation service turnoff. Lame duck Internet bully BayTSP turned me in for downloading the third episode of T&A anime Queen's Blade. Turns out that Media Factory the company responsible for Queen' Blade has authorized dick waving BayTSP to go after downloaders of Queen's Blade.

So ended up without the Internet yesterday for a while and totally killed my mood. Roommate wasn't all that thrilled with me either when I told him about it and I don't blame him for that either. No Internets sucks especially when it's not your fault. I was fuming mad yesterday and was writing a scathing hate filled blog about it but now that it's been a while I've calmed down did some Internet searching about how to p2p safer and more anonymous and to keep off the radar of BayTSP and other DMCA bully corporations.

Will that keep me from watching Queen's Blade? Nope not in the least I'll just find other ways to get it without having to worry about being snitched on. That's how it goes it's a daily battle that will probably never end.

Another weekend err...Sunday of racing and picture/video taking. This time it was held out at the Idaho Center in Nampa. A nice sunny warm Sunday much better than the last event and it showed with I believe a much larger turn out of drivers. Since it was at the Idaho Center I was able to just hang out on the grass without the need of a spotter to film and take pictures. I also brought the umbrella setup along and thank goodness I did. I definitely think it did a lot to keep me out of the sun and a good couple of degrees cooler than just being out under the sun. It may look a little goofy but it rocks like nothing else.

What also rocks is the new camera car mount. I was a little worried to be honest as after attaching it to a car and letting it sit there for a while it seemed to lose just a bit of suction not a lot but enough to make me worry just a bit but all was good and it hung on for three outings on various cars. Oh course one of the videos got messed up some how so only got three on car videos. I did try hard to get at least one video of most of the cars that were out there some I just didn't care for but I'm trying to get every one's car more than just a lot of videos of a handful of cars.

I was also taking still pictures and trying to do the whole motion capture thing so the cars look like they are in motion and all that jazz. Still working on fine tuning that aspect of my photography. I also wasn't in the best place for pictures compared to videos. And speaking of places to be for being in a relatively safe place that black Dodge Neon with a major front end plow problem came damn close on one run.

It was a lot of fun as usual. I managed to hang around all day this time thanks to the umbrella and having the day off. Found out that a lot of people are watching the videos and really enjoy them, which is always a nice thing to hear. I still need to figure out a way to cut down on the wind noise from the on car videos and I think I'll be heading to a music store to look at mic covers. You can the pictures here and the videos are all here.

I missed a good number of spins but I also got a few good ones as well. Like this one from a Corvette engined Datsun 240Z. There was another great one from a Mercedes Benz as well where the driver was able to save it and keep going.

This week was a good one as it has gotten warmer and warmer every day and while the week was full of boring work and sleep the weekend was good for a few fun times. Friday found my roommate Scott and I working a bit on the turbo charged RX-8 and finding that there wasn't anything to do about the car since we needed a part and since it was so nice outside Scott decided that he wanted to hit a bucket of golf balls instead. Even though I have a set of clubs I've never actually golfed or been to a driving range but that changed on Friday when I went with Scott to do that before leaving for work. It was fun I sucked and got owned by some kid hitting next to use and I could tell he wanted to laugh so bad I almost told him he could because yeah I sucked that bad and was laughing at myself. Saturday I just cleaned my room and watched the first round of the 2009 Autobacs Super GT race. I also got things read for the autocross on Sunday by cleaning the lenses and charging the batteries and making sure all the memory cards were empty.

That of course brings us to good ol' Sunday and the second autocross of the season at the Idaho Center. Great weather fantastic turnout of cars and until the end of the day hardly any wind which made for a good day of racing. When I get the videos uploaded I'll post more about the autocross.

As for hardly blogging last week well I really wasn't expecting to be lazy or busy and skimping on the blog posting but things happen and I'll try to keep on top of it some more. This week shouldn't be hard to do though as I have some good things to blog about. Of course with the start of a new season of Super GT there is a new batch of Super GT Race Queens as well.

The Cleat -- New camera mount in action

That's right THE CLEAT is actually what the new car mount is actually called. The cleat is a suction cup camera/video mounting system that I'll be using during autocross events to take video from inside and outside the cars during their runs. I picked up from filmtools as an early birthday present for myself.

Like with all new toys you have to play with it when you get it and after taking some pictures that's exactly what I did. Ran out and stuck it my roommate's RX-8 to see how it would look at different places and took some more pictures. The next step of course was to test out how the videos would look and that had a to wait a day or two before we could do that. You can find some more pictures of the mount at Flickr and see some different mounting options.

The weekend finally rolled around and we took the camera mount out and tested it, first on the inside of the car and while the videos looked good I wasn't about to post videos that included my roommmate and I being complete dorks so those got promptly deleted. Then we stopped and mounted it to the outside of the car and discovered one huge flaw in the design. Wind, what an annoyence that can be. That's a huge problem with the handycam setup but I'm currently working on a suitable solution and hopefully I'll have that worked out before the next autocross event.

The next day Scott took the camera mount with him to the dragstrip to test it there and get some in car video this time. If you're wondering what the rounded edges are all about that's from the UV Filter that Scott got me for my birthday it's a good way to protect the lens and offers some haze and glare reduction as well. The day after that we mounted it to the Subaru when we went out to the firing range (I posted that video in the weekly review) to give it an even heavier knock around test and while I learned a lession to make sure that the camera is tightend down to the base the thing will pretty much hang on for dear life and is pretty steady considering everything we did to it. Once I figure out the wind problem I'm sure it will be a great set up and I'm also thinking of picking up a wide angle lens for it as well but I have to find a good quality one first.

Remember Miss Desk? Do you want more of Miss Desk, you know you do. Well it turns out that Miss Desk is actually Momo Jing on Moko.cc and not only can you find her pictures (althought at wallpaper sizes) on Miss Desk but the photographer has a lot of her pictures on his site at Ealevision as well as the photo collection on Moko.cc. Sadly I haven't seen any other youtube videos other than that first one. She definitely needs more as she's pretty damn cute. I just thought I'd share in the wealth.

First of all Happy freaking Birthday to me ya. Today is my 32 birthday (yes 32 and I still watch cartoons) and I feel every bit of that old age. The rest of the week was alright as well too the new anime season is in full press and I'm struggling to keep up with it all. I may actually have to watch some at home now all things considered. The week of course was mostly work and sleep and the afternoon meeting which was pointless and a total waste of my time and energy yet again.

The great things about the week though is that I finally got a second battery that works with my video camera and I even got a new car mount for the video camera and Scott and I took it out and tested it several times. Scott even got me a UV filter (protective) lens for the videocamera as well. The best was taking it out on the Subaru to the firing range and giving it a good knock around test. After which we shot up a couple really old fire extinguishers that were laying around the house that needed to be tossed out anyways. That was a fun little bit of Easter goodness.

The one bad thing about the second video that I wont be posting since it's just lame really is that I hadn't tightened the camera down enough so as we were driving back out the camera rotated around the axis and went from filming the front of the car to filming the back of the car. Totally wasted film really. Thank goodness it's digital. I'll post a full review of the car mount later along with a wrap up of all the new anime shows that I've started watching. There's some good and some bad and some that I haven't even watched yet. Here's the video of the trip out to the firing range and don't forget to still go vote for the Moko Top Girl at the address link about the daily hottie. Go know vote often.

I could care less about the whole religious aspect of the thing really but you should really take the time today to be close with family and have a great time enjoying each other's company. I don't have any really good presents for you but I do have a lovely video of Miss Easter Bunny from Moko.cc here for you to enjoy on youtube as you stuff your face full of chocolate noms. I went back and found the original posting of this lovely Miss Easter Bunny so enjoy.

Cencoroll -- Coming Soon!

It's coming, finally. Looks like an animated film that I've been waiting for has finally gotten picked up again and is slated to be released some time this year. Cencoroll is a one man made anime film that was orginially announced in 2007 and it looked pretty fantastic from the first trailer that was shown on youtube but then it just fell off the radar and I didn't hear or see anything new about it for ages until just this week. I figured it had been regulated to DEVHELL but it looks like Aniplex has came through and signed on to release the movie this year. They also released a new even better looking trailer during some big anime convention in Japan this last week. I'm actually really excited for it and thought I'd get the news out that it's anticipated new release. Here's the news article from Animenewsnetwork. And without further ramblings from myself here is the new trailer.

Linebarrels of Iron

What a coincidence that I finished an anime series and FUNimation has actually licensed it so I don't have to say in my review "I hope some one Licenses this" because they actually already have. That's right Linebarrels of Iron which I just finished recently will be out for Americans to enjoy some time soon. I guess they also licensed Strike Witches at the same time. That WILL be interesting to see how they go about the whole naked loli's thing.

Getting back to Linebarrels of Iron I will rent it for sure because meh it's worth a second look and it'll be interesting to see if they make Mr. Hero of Justice any better or worse than he already is. That and uncensored boobies since of course being a GONZO title it does have some fanservice tossed in for our health. Obviously I'm not taking this review seriously because well it's Linebarrels of Iron and it doesn't seem to take it self seriously either. That and toss in all the plot twists that are just tossed around like crazy and the worst good guy ever and you end up with one ordinary but watchable anime.

Oh here's a nice surprise for you....everyone dies the hero gets stuck in a transdimensional worm hole with his now very dead lead lady. For all of 5 minutes and then HEY LOOK they're all alive and hey look it's the missing mecha we thought that would be lost for good.

It's fun to watch if you're not taking it seriously and just want to enjoy the mecha battles and fanservice and can laugh at how lame the hero of justice is.

Full Metal Panic -- Live Action!

Another live action anime adaption is in the works and another Hollywood actor is slated to be the all important lead in it and in this case so long as Zac Efron gets the ever living shit knocked out of him like Sousuke Sagara does in the anime I'm alright with that. Anyways it looks like Mandalay Pictures picked up the rights for Full Metal Panic and while Zac Efron is supposedly attached to the picture there is still very little known about how FMP will get developed for live action but honestly I don't see it being all that successful as I'm sure it'll have to lose some of what made FMP good and that's what I'm not looking forward to. I'll cross my fingers that Hollywood wont screw up but lets face it do we really believe that Hollywood will deliver on the goods. We'll just have to wait and see I guess. Now all of a sudden those old Wizard casting call columns are becoming more and more closer to reality, who would have thought that. Here is the news from Anime News Network.

Asu no Yoichi

Another anime series I just finished is Asu no Yoichi I'll be honest I didn't really get into this series until about half way though the season as I thought it would be more fanservice than quality anime and I had already been up to my eyeballs in fanservice. However, after I started watching it I realized it was more comedy than harem romance (which is what I thought it would be) I couldn't stop watching it and laughing about how absurd and yet funny it was. And while Asu no Yoichi is chuck full of fanservice thankfully most of it's for the lolz and isn't by any means a crutch but an added goodness of the series.

Asu no Yoichi is a tale of a modern day samurai who leaves the safety of his mountain top dojo for a family dojo in the city to better train his skills and learn something about the real world. Of course the dojo is entirely staffed by a family of sisters and thus begins the misunderstandings that lead our poor young samurai into the brutal hands of the eldest sister who definitely looks like she enjoys it just a tad when she punishes the samurai for his hentai ways. Of course the real plot is that another brother and sister pair of warriors are out to get the samurai out of the picture so that the brother can marry the elder sister blah blah blah. It's not hard to see where the show goes and of course how it will end a bit predictable but still you can't help but want to keep watching it. I think though that my favorite of all the characters is the third sister the one who is an instigator of a lot of the fanservice mix ups.

Asu no Yoichi is funny the fanservice isn't so over the top to be absurd and it was a good enough to keep me entertained and coming back for more so I'd definitely like to see it again if it ever gets licensed. I don't think it's a must buy but I'd definitely rent it again that's for sure.

Toradora!

Epic in how it turned all of /a/ into a frothing storm of fanboys who either hated or loved Toradora! a slice of life in a school setting series. Of course that just means I never listened to what /a/ had to say about Toradora! which probably helped me enjoy the series more.

Toradora! is definitely a high school tale it has it's ups and downs fighting and crying and all around hormonally charged craziness that comes with any high school students. The characters definitely make the series and you can't help but love them all or get some satisfaction out of their troubles and tribulations and the amazing amount of humor that is hidden through out the series. Even though there are a great deal of funny there is also the glimmer of something more emotional and heart warming that gives Toradora! a great mix of enjoyment.

I thought the ending was great and for any one who thought that it wouldn't turn out that way was just fooling themselves. It wrapped things up nicely I thought and less face it High School never really ends they way we want it to any ways. I'll be looking forward to this being licenesed as I really can't see some one not picking it up. I don't know if it's a must buy in my opinion but it's absolutely a must rent title.

Blade of the Immortal

First up for the anime onslaught of reviews is a short but in my opinion great anime. Blade of the Immortal is only a 13 episode series that finishes off on a good note even though it doesn't come to an end point. If anything it opens the door for more since the Manga is still ongoing. On the flip side we don't see a conclusion to Rin's revenge for her parent's murder.

Blade of the Immortal is a story of an immortal Samurai warrior who is on a quest to slay 1000 villains. He is immortal because some old lady (mystic charmer witch doctor what ever have you...OK I guess she's an 800 yr old nun) implanted special worms into his body that quickly heal him and even when need be reattach severed limbs. Along his little journey he meets Rin a young dishonored girl of a dojo that was destroyed by the main bad guys of our short story the Ittō-ryūwho are on their own quest to destroy all the other dojos and are responsible for the death of Rin's mother and father. Manji our Samurai warrior takes Rin under his wing and teaches and aids her in her own journey to kill all those who are responsible for her parent's death.

Pretty simple and somewhat generic tail that has been played out in other stories time and time again but I think Blade of the Immortal does a fine job of telling it's story and I enjoyed the series immensely and would definitely like to watch it again if it ever got licensed in the states. There isn't any fanservice to note even though a good bit of time is spent in brothels and the opening sequence does feature heavily a lady in bondage. The fights are great and just a bit gory though and that's what makes up a great deal of the show and the rest is a good deal of mental thinking about life death and the pursuit of what we want to achieve and how we go about it. Just a great departure from the Moe Blob shows of the season.

It's been a busy week. Finished a few anime series which will be blogged about later and a bunch of the new season shows have started up including the much talked about ecchi overload show called Queens Blade. Which leaves me with a bit of stuff to blog about this coming week.

I ordered yet another battery for the camcorder so cross your fingers that this one will actually work. In addition to that I also ordered something fun a camera car mount and I guess we'll just have to wait and see if it'll work for autox. It should but you never really know until you test it out.

In addition to those two purchases I also picked up an issue of the very last issue of Anime Insider and have been thumbing through it. Surprising that the last issue is an almost entirely gamer magazine. Sucks but meh what are you going to do but move on and spend your money else where I guess. The final purchase that I made this week was the Third Season of The Venture Brothers. I missed a great deal of this season's shows so was happy to pick it up and frankly I think out of the Sunday Line up of [adult swim] shows The Venture Brothers is one of the few great original shows they have. Just to bad there wasn't more of Triana and her friend...

The last thing I did this week of note was my roommate and I went and watched Fast & Furious on Saturday and after that spent a good hour BSing with a car sales man at Fairly Reliable Bobs having a good laugh at arguing about Corvettes and Porsches (I was decked out in my Porsche hat and T-shirt which I'm sure didn't help matters). You'll never get me to pick a Corvette over just about anything else especially a Porsche but it was fun to argue and laugh about it all the same.

That was fun and since honestly the movie Fast & Furious doesn't warrant it's own post I'll have to tell you that yes its better than the first and second movies yes there are some sweet rides and a good variety of cars but the plot is meh and the acting is meh there isn't as many cheesy lines in this one but it's totally a leave your brain at home and suspend all notion of reality and you'll enjoy the movie. The Sound track wasn't to bad either. I'd probably rent it again when it comes out but I don't think I'd buy it like I did Tokyo Drift. Oh yeah actually if you like ASS you'll like it as there is a good amount of 3D fanservice in that regard.

Last but not least I'm going to keep on posting Moko Top Girls while you can still vote for the MTG at Moko.cc but they changed it a bit so it's not on the front page so here is the correct page to vote.

Wonder Woman

OK I may not like DC Comics but I LOVE their DVD movies for some reason and the lastest release Wonder Woman definitely doesn't disapoint in any way. I don't know if it's the best one but it is definitely one of the better ones.

This Wonder Woman story is an origin story. The first arc of the show is the back story as to why the Amazonian warriers are on their secretive island and the birth of Princess Diana (did not know she was born that way) and her being raised to be a champion figher among her sisters. It also introducess our main villian of the show Mr. War God himeself Aries. The second arc is the re-introduction of man kind on to the island by way a downed pilot who is deemed as a non threat and is scheduled to be sent back home with a representive of the island. It's also the re-introcution of the main villian of this film. While the women are finding out who gets to take the pilot back Aries who has been held captive since the war is freed by his turncoat Amazonian who has fallen in love with Aries.

Then starts the thrid and final arc where Wonder Woman has won the challenge and takes the pilot back to man's world and goes on the hunt for Aries to capture him again to take him back to the island. We get to see how Wonder Woman first takes in the world of man but soon the shit its the fan and she has to go into action taking on some mystical warrior and the hunt for Aries begins in earest. It doesn't work and Aries is able to get his full powers back and pretty much starts up another mystical army to destroy all of man kind. All hell breaks loose Wonder Woman starts kicking major ass and the entire Amazonian warrior force joins in on the battle and we finish the show the same way that it started with a major kick ass battle. Wonder Woman of course kills Aries and the rest of the army just dispurses. Finally back on the secret island Wonder Woman is missing the regular world and so her mom decides to send her on another mission to man's world and so begins the tale of Wonder Woman.

It's a great origin tale and for someone who doesn't follow the comics it was a great way to look into the history of the Wonder Woman franchise. And honestly the animation was fantastic and the women were fanservice greatness as well. If you're into the DC universe this is definitely not something to pass up and if you like the DC Animated movies and cartoons you'll freaking love this one as well. Check it out on Netflix but expect a short wait to get it.

Ikkitousen Great Guardian's OVAs

Oh yeah finally finished watching the six part OVA series that is included with the Ikkitousen Great Guardian's DVDs and like all the other Ikkitousen OVA's it was chuck full of fanservice goodness.

This OVA series is a cosplay battle between the girls. Usually resulting in one or both of the girls in each fight getting naked at some point in the five minute long episode. There is nothing more to the plot than that really. Which is fine it's just mindless guilty pleasure fanservice induced goodness.

Of course my favorite episode is 5 because it features Kanu Unchou as a race queen.

I'm done...NO MORE ANIME!

I'm done with Anime. After some soul searching and guidence from my pastor I now know that Anime is just bad rotten and absolutely immoral crap TV. All it is is tits and ass and nothing that will ever better my life. That and I also was bored last night and started watching Survivor and American Idol and I have to say that it's not as bad as I had originally thought in fact it's actually pretty cool and after thinking about it some last night I've decided not only will I cut out anime from my blog and life but I'll remake my blog into a Blog about all things Reality TV so that I can help my readers keep up with all the goings on during reality TV. Hell it'll probably even flurish and become better than the current one and I'll actually start making some money doing this blogging thing now too.

So down with the crap anime that I've been rotting my brain with and HELL YA! to American Idol those girls are hella hot and they can sing too. Oh and that Simon is such a bad ass how could you not love it and want to watch it all the time. Now I just need to torrent all the past seasons and last episodes so that I can see what I've been missing all this time.

You'll have to excuse me now while I go microwave all my fansubbed anime DVDs that I've collected all this time and delete all those shows from my harddisk as well to make room for American Idol and Survivor. I'll probably toss up my retail Anime on Ebay in a couple days so look forward to that as well.

Oh yeah one last thing before I forget Happy April 1st. It's now only 12 days until my 32nd birthday. I think I'll throw a Survivor themed birthday party yeah that's the ticket.

Cat Shit One

No really that's it's name. Yeah I thought it was an odd name at first too but then I watched the unsubbed PV on YouTube and new right away that I had to add Cat Shit One to my watch list when it comes out sometime in 2010 probably. While the PV has been out for a while and people have blogged about it I wanted to find out as much information and find hopefully a subbed version of the preview before I posted about it.

So yeah Cat Shit One is an older manga about the travesty of war played out by furry critters that each represent a different country for instance the US is represented by rabbits (usagi=rabbit in Japanese and USA G.I.= usagi get it...hahaha) and in the manga it takes place during the Vietnam conflict and the Vietnamese forces are represented as cats. The title of the show is actually taken from the name of the special forces US recon group that is caring out operations in the Jungles of Vietnam. In the US the manga was released as Apocalypse Meow (a take off of Apocalypse Now the movie...hahaha)

Anyways this new series takes that same recon group time warps them into the future to fight in what I can tell is a generic Middle Eastern Conflict. Some thought they were following the sequel to Cat Shit One that takes place during the Iran hostage situation during the 80's but when you take a look at the equipment being used you can easily ID items that were not around during that time.

All I know is that it looks awesome I want to see it and from what I understand they are still looking for investors. I just want to know where to send a check (no I'm not going to send a money order to fucking Nigeria, assholes) to help get this out and into my grubby lil' paws. God I hope they toss in some comedy bits about PETA that would be awesome and funny because I know PETA will be chomping at the bits and screaming bloody murder when they find out about this.

With out further ado here's the subbed trailer for your enjoyment.

Sekirei OVA!

That was a nice unexpected surprise. Found out that on the last DVD of Sekirei included a fanservicy OVA for us all to enjoy in anticipation of the follow up season (when ever the hell that is) like the DVD episodes it's uncensored as well.

We also almost get a eyefull of the landlord's goodies as well but anyways you probably want to know what it's all about right. It doesn't really follow the main story line of the anime and is more of a short mini episode that pits lil' ku-chan against Musubi-chan and Tsukiumi-chan in the grocery store race that Musubi-chan and Tsukiumi-chan constantly have. Since ku-chan is small and unable to protect herself as much as she needs to the other two ladies and nerd girl call a truce to their race and vow to protect ku-chan during her first lone trip to the grocery store. Of course this leaves a trail of distruction in their wake. All is good though at the finish line where Ku-chan tells them that she knew they were protecting her and she falls sound a sleep.

Then we cut to the full on nude bath scene with the other three ladies blah blah blah and landlord walks in but keeps her towel on...drats. It was a great distraction from the humdrum and a fun lil' guilty pleasure show for those who liked the Sekirei series and are awaiting the next season.

On an entirely unrelated note Musubi-chan actually almost won me $1000. During the winter time one of the local radio stations was doing a give away where they called out numbers from a list they had made up and given out on cards. Well the number that I had included the number 88 (Musubi-chan's number) and I remembered that. One day they called those numbers and I was hey that's Musubi-chan's number HOLY FUCK I WON! So I raced home to get the number (needed the entire number and I didn't have it in my car) but when I called someone else had already called and I missed it by mere seconds. Anyways theres an entirely stupid story for the day. Hopefully someone licenses Sekirei soon.
