Ah yes another winter anime comes to an end. A rather retarded ending which leaves me hoping for another season, more about that later. I wasn't sure about Shigofumi when it first came out so I decided to just check out the first episode and see how it went. I damn near instantly fell in love with it. Mostly because the opening song was from the lady (name escapes me though) who did the opening/ending for another fine anime Princess Resurrection. The second thing that caught my attention was the story wholly crap this wasn't going to be some kiddy anime not in the least. I really liked the animation and the story telling. Many times I found my self getting teary eyed during some of the episodes and laughing outload at other episodes. It was also very touching and caring during a lot of it. I also liked that there was a larger plot going on during the single story episodes.

The largest draw back to the whole thing was that it was only 13 episodes long and the last episode didn't really resolve anything about the main plot. I definately think it could have used atleast one extra episode that really tied everything up nice and neat. That aside I would very much recommend this anime although only for an adult audience. I don't know if I would buy it considering they are releasing it two episodes at a time for $40 a volume with the last episode being released by itself for $30 so I'll be checking it out on Netflix and so should you.
