2007 Asia Song Festival
2007-9-22 The 4th Asia Song Festival took place in Seoul, Korea. It’s the biggest music festival in Asia. Total of 39 top stars from 9 different countries all gather together in Korea, to show the world the strength of Asia.
(Don’t Don)
It took Super Junior a year and 4 month to debut their 2nd album. Super Junior with 13 people once again standing together on the stage. Don’t Don is a song with a strong S.M shadow. The lyrics is about how this world is full of money, wants, and greed. How they try to protect their posterities from these sins and harms. Don’t Don used Rock and R&B to perfectly show the feelings of the mess up world. Violin was suppose to give a feeling of “Hopeless, shock, and remind.”
(Hate U, Love U)
A soft ballad. Hate is often a feeling you have towards the love one who left you. But as time passes and took away all the hatred, what’s left behind was only love…It’s just a sad ballad song, that fully represent the stage of Asia Song Festival. Who says Super Junior is only a dancing group? This song showed their ability to sing ballad.
Change of Style
To better represent the song of Don’t Don, Super Junior did an amazing achievement. That is changing their whole style into a REALLY different one. Even though, their new style really looked like those characters that would only appears in Anime, but actually, Super Junior themselves really liked it! Hankyung’s tattoo took 1 and a half hours to draw. Heechul was making fun of Hankyung, calling him an old man due to his blond (near white) hair; Donghae’s hair was dyed into 3 different shades; Heechul said his real hair color is the red one, the black one was a wig; Ryeowook not only turn his hair style to a turkey look, but also had 5 new ears pierced; Yesung was more attracting after he lost some weight; Siwon showed off his 6 packs; Sungmin took away Lee Teuk’s dream hair style; Kibum was going to keep his hair normal, but later changed his mind; Kyuhyung came back to Super Junior after 5 months.
Album needs all 13 members
All 13 members took this album very seriously, from it’s first recording to current promoting. They all understand how fans are very excited of their new album, so they worked extremely hard and also gave a lot of effort, which made this album very meaningful to them. As people always says, the success of singer’s first debuted album is not a success. 2nd album is the real turning point of a singer. 2nd album will be the target of what the audiences actually observe ( Growth? Ability?…). To make this album a step near perfect, Donghae, Eunhyuk, and Shingdon all contributed a lot. Heechul wrote a lyric for one of the fast song, but because the style didn’t match up correctly, it wasn’t used. Some people asked them if they ever get jealous of each other, and Heechul answered back with: “Actually, it’s us who gather together and fight back at others.”(Laughing)
What’s really going on between Siwon and Donghae
People who bought Super Junior’s Vol. 2 must have noticed Siwon and Donghae’s problem, referring to the “Thank you” section at the end of the photo album.
Donghae left a message saying: “ Siwon, I love you, I’m really sorry for the mistake I made.” It keeps us wondering what had really happened between those two??? And we all remembered the scene when they hold hands walking together. They looked so close…
Until today, we finally know what’s really going on! It is when Donghae emailed S.M his dance ideas, and Siwon accidentally saw the email….And what’s even worse, was Donghae forgot to include Siwon in his dancing plans. Siwon was hurt…
Later, Siwon called Donghae during around midnight and said: “ Donghae, I want to tell you a very serious thing. I want to leave Super Junior!” Donghae replied with: “What the hell are you talking about?!” Siwon than said: “ Because you didn’t include me as a Super Junior member(He was Hurt).” Donghae all of the sudden realized his own mistake and felt so sorry to Siwon, and apologized to him. Siwon accepted Donghae’s apology and in return, he asked Donghae to write his apology on the photo album.
