You don’t get to slander an icon and go home happy—not even if you’re dead yourself. That was the feeling in the room at the recent forum held by the Institute of the Black World 21st Century at the Mother AME Zion Church in Harlem. The forum was held in response to the book, “Malcolm X: A Life of Reinvention,” written by the late Columbia University professor Manning Marable.
