Another Shooter Saturday here to take a look at another awesome weapon. This time around a little something different than usual because we'll be taking a look at the very popular Colt 1911 handgun. Of course just about every arms manufacture makes a version of the 1911 in just about any small arms caliber you can think of. The 1911 has been around since well 1911 and it'll be here until we are probably wiped off the face of the planet. During this time not much has changed about the 1911 aside from improved parts the look has pretty much stayed the same since it was introduced. Only recently has anyone gone to the trouble of incorporating a picatiny rail into the lower frame. I'm a huge fan of the 1911 my self and have fired many of them even though currently I don't own one myself. I've shot expensive full custom jobs and bare bone stock guns and honestly they all shoot the same to me. Some of those race guns are pretty interesting but it's like ricing out your car to me if your not shooting competitions.
