How did this last week go? Rather well actually. Work sucked thanks to the epic ton of laundry that needed to be folded. But the weekend wasn't half bad. Did some yard and house work went to the Anime club and Sunday was the second Autocross event of the season. Spent a great deal of time looking for the Super GT stuff like videos of the race and new Race Queen pictures and so far for the Race Queens the only thing I've found so far are some smaller pictures. Some of the outfits for this year are looking very yummy. Some not so much. But I'll leave you with one of the cuter ones.

I did find the Super Gt race on Torrent so I should watch it pretty soon and I'll keep looking for those cute Race Queens though. Some other interesting news that came out last week is the TAF2010 anime trailers lots of good looking things coming up soon including the very awesome looking High School of the Dead anime.

Since the week mostly sucked because work sucked the weekend was alright even if I did do some yard work and house work but some how that was good compared to the crap at work. Saturday evening was Anime Club meetup and that went pretty well no big drama there and it was a fairly large turn out but I had to head home early because Sunday was Autocross.

Doom and gloom. And we thought the last autocross was cold this one was colder, windier and seriously overcast the entire time. I put on sunscreen but honestly I probably wouldn't have needed to it was that gloomy. Now I'm just sitting here editing pictures and videos of the event. All in all a pretty normal week for Spring and the last one of March believe it or not. That's right a 1/4 of the year is now over.

One of the things I found this week is that the RQ group that does HQ photosets of the RaceQueens also shoots videos as well and I ran across one of those videos on YouTube this week. Makes me want to track down more of them.

Shooter Saturday -- AA12 (Auto-Assualt 12)

Haven't featured a shotgun yet so I thought I'd do a Shooter Saturday on the Automatic magazine fed Shotgun called the AA12 or Auto-Assualt 12. Most will recognize it from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 while others like myself learned about it on that rather amusing Future Weapons show.

Most don't know that the AA12 has actually been around for a long time (first one was in 1972), first as the Atchisson Assault Shotgun which gave us the USAS12 (a more M16 looking auto shotgun) and now we have the Auto-Assault 12 which was developed for today's soldiers. Using Stainless steal and allowing for fouling clearances it was designed to not need cleaning or lubrication until 10,000 rounds and can take some serious pounding and muck.

The new designers did a lot of thinking to make sure that the AA12 can be used in various roles including launching small 12gauge frag grenades that were developed alongside the AA12. It was also designed to be used on UAVs as well. There are several unique characteristics of the AA12. One of those is that the AA12, unlike many assault rifles, fires from an open bolt design that allows for some absorption of the recoil which makes the AA12 very easy to shot as the large amount of recoil that would be generated in full auto mode would be uncontrollable otherwise. Unlike the first AA12 the new one has an 8-round box magazine and optional 20 and 32 round drum magazine. With the Polymer stock and stainless steal internals it's not hard to add accessory rails which allows for adding of tactical and optical accessories as well.

I haven't maxed out the AA12 in MW2 so I don't know if you get the drum magazine when you get the extended mag unlocked but hey it's a fun shotgun until you unlock the better duel welding ones later in the game and I wouldn't mind finding an AA12 that someone would let me shot as I think it would be fun to test and you know several years ago I did actually see a USAS12 semi-auto at Impact Guns here in Boise that was for sell. They only wanted $700 at the time.

Here's a video of the AA12 in testing. You can find the Future weapon clip of it on YouTube as well.

Foxy Friday -- Park Hyun Sun

This Friday's Foxy Asian lady is Korean Model Park Hyun Sun (박현선)a very leggy Korean hottie that definitely deserves a spot in the Foxy Friday feature. Of course I know little about her other than she's a hottie Korean Model so this might be a shorter than normal Foxy Friday post but that leaves more room for cool stuff right. Or something like that.

Thanks to the best Korean race queen site around IdolRetouch I first found the lovely Park Hyun Sun and soon enough she was also on Really Cute Asian which by the way has recently went back to their old .com home so update your book marks if you haven't already.

I think with Park Hyun Sun everyone has their personal favorite look of hers as she has a few and she often changes looks to keep it fresh and interesting. For me I'm a big fan of her longer curly hair that starts black and changes to a dark brown. I especially like it when she's rocking that look in a tiny little mini skirt.

I've been looking for some videos for her and I think I found two of them one's not all that great and the other one I'm not entirely sure if it's her but hey I tried right. I just wish she would have some sexier videos out there and if you happen to find any you should definitely share.

The International Sexy Ladies Show: Season 2

Remember my post about the new show on G4TV called The International Sexy Ladies Show? Well basically I said I liked the Asian girls and some of the other stuff but that the stupid food and mud play crap was just stupid and the girls weren't even all that good looking and that I didn't really care for it. Also the comedians didn't add crap to the show and it could easily have been better without them. And I like the Chelsea Lately show that also features a few of those same comedians Well the show started it's second season at the beginning of March and I thought I'd see if my complaints were answered.

In a word...NO. Of course it started off great with another opening video of the lovely Aki Hoshino but sure as hell the stupid liquid play was back just as fast. Thankfully though it's not nearly as much as the first season. Which I guess could be a good compromise considering what they did add. That wasn't the only change either.

Gone from last season is the Brazil model game, the Naked Top model show, and thankfully some assorted Euro trash and other crap from last season. The ending two UK babes are also gone as well as the Action Girls. They did keep the Russian contortionist, the Japanese Gravure models and the Italian show SOS Patata.

Thankfully replacing the things that are gone are some more hot Asians in the way of two different Korean game shows like TVngles and I didn't catch the name of the other one. There is also a UK babe ghost hunt show and a UK babe chore clips as well there is some other stuff too.

However while the show has improved it's clips it has downgraded it's comedians it's like they scrapped the bottom of the barrel for these new guys because they suck even worse then the first group and I didn't even think that would be possible. seriously season three...NO FUCKING COMEDIANS or get some good ones I'd also like no lame liquid play crap but I'd rather have that than those idiot comedians.

So so far it's a big thumbs up for more hottie Asians and less liquid play but a HUGE thumbs down for the even worse than last season's comedians. Also needs more Brazil as well. If you'd like to complain like a lot of other people check out the forum for the show and do your worst.

As always since I like the Asian ladies and want to leave you with something awesome to watch enjoy another lovely Aki Hoshino video....

Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo Picture Drama

What started out awesome ended rather boringly at the end. I enjoyed Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo so when the short extra DVD picture dramas came out I was all over them in anticipation for what they would offer a little bit more fanservice than the episodes did and the first one was great the last one however was not so much in fact it's 5 minutes of Leopord ranting by himself. While he can be funny at times for his spastic temperament, when he's by himself he's a bit much and not nearly as funny.

However it's because of those first couple episodes that got you hooked and made you want to see them all even though it took forever for them all be released.

The Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo Picture Drama episodes are your basic really short (about 3 minutes or so per episode) bonus DVD/BD episodes that are added to entice people to purchase the Disks and for the most part it works really well like for example the ones for Queen's Blade.

However unlike the Queen's Blade fully animated bonus episodes Picture Dramas are a more or less pan and scan of large pictures which with an included narration. It works in most cases and can definitely add to the enjoyment of the anime series and in this case with Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo it does. I just can't believe it took so long to get all the episodes out and while the last one is all Leopard all the time

Here is the second episode of the series and one of only two available at the moment on YouTube so it may just vanish at any time.

A Certain Scientific Railgun

I may have missed A Certain Magical Index when it first came out because I didn't think it would be that interesting but when I heard about it's follow up series A Certain Scientific Railgun I thought I'd check it out since 4chan was raving about it before it even started. And after finishing Railgun last night I have to say I really did have a good time watching it and would probably rank it as one of my top ten from the winter season. Now maybe I'll have to track down Index as well.

Even though Railgun is a spin-off from Index you don't have to watch Index before hand to know anything about what is happening in Railgun since it's an entirely stand along series even if characters from Index make several cameo appearances through out Railgun's episode arch.

So what is Railgun? This is what Anime News Network had to say about Railgun's plot.

Academy City is a highly developed place in terms of technology. It is said to be 20 to 30 years ahead of the rest of the world. 80% of it's 2.3 million residents are students. The focus of all studies here is directed towards esper powers. Misaka Mikoto, one of the top level espers in town, shares a room with Kuroko Shirai, another high level esper who is a member of Judgement, a law enforcing agency composed of students. Both attend to Tokiwadai, a private school reserved for the high-leveled and the rich. Kuroko's partner at Judgement, Kazari Uiharu, is a low level esper who studies at Sakugawa middle school. Her best friend and classmate there is Ruiko Saten, a level zero (no esper powers). Together, the four encounter several adventures in the exciting scientific town.

I just want to add that Railgun does an interesting twist to it's story telling. For one it's part episodic and part major plot the episodic tails often don't have anything to do with the main plot but are still more than interesting to keep it from seeming like a nuisance to the larger picture. Also interesting is that they made it feel like two seasons by separating the main plot into two different stories. Add in the odd swimsuit episode and you have a very different way of telling a story that I thought really worked well in the end. There is great character development and nothing seems like it's unimportant to the main story.

While most people probably like any one of the four main characters I personally like the glasses wearing side character Konori Mii (NSFW) who in the second part got a good couple episodes devoted to her.

I couldn't find a good trailer for Railgun so how about checking out the second opening.

Kara no Kyoukai 7: Murder Speculation part 2

posted by sooyup on , ,

Last week I finally finished the Garden of Sinners movie series that comprises 7 movies. The 7th movie is called Murder Speculation part 2 because it's the second part of the story behind Shiki and Mikiya dealing with Shiki's lost male personality and how she's dealing with the feelings of murder. During this time there is a rash of serial killings that look a lot like the murders that happened several years ago. Those murders were carried out by Shiki's male personality so Shiki is worried about who is doing the killing and Mikiya is worried that Shiki may be out killing people. Both of them are worried about the other and are heading into the underbelly of the city to find out who is doing the killing.

Mikiya finds out that one of his former schoolmates has turned to pushing drugs and when he finds the classmate's apartment Mikiya discovers in side the apartment a madman's shrine for Shiki. Meanwhile Shiki is out investigating the killings and is attacked by a blond haired boy wearing the same outfit as her. As it turns out he is Lio Shirazumi former classmate that had asked her out in high school but was rejected. He is also the person that Mikiya discovered as the drug dealer. After being rejected by Shiki he turned to a life of crime and is now trying to get Shiki to join him. She doesn't want to and the two get into a knife fight that ends when Shiki cuts off Lio's left arm at the elbow.

After escaping Lio returns to his apartment and finds Mikiya and tells him about everything. Later Shiki finds Lio's drug warehouse and confronts him but since she is unable to kill him Lio is able to overpower her and tie her up. Before he can rape her Mikiya breaks into the lower level of the warehouse unaware of the situation upstairs. Nor do Lio and Shiki know that it's Mikiya breaking in. Lio heads down to take care of matters only to find it's Mikiya and that he didn't head his warnings and tries to turn Mikiya into a monster by making him take the special drugs. Mikiya refuses and would rather die than become a monster. This enrages Lio and he slashes at Mikiya's face and leaves him for dead to go take care of business with Shiki

Shiki is unaware of what happened below or that it was Mikiya who broke in until Lio tells her. Thinking that Mikiya is dead Shiki is pissed off and she doesn't hesitate to kill Lio in their final fight cuting him up into some big chunks. However Mikiya isn't dead and is able to crawl his way to Shiki who is glad to see him. A little afterwards we see Mikiya leaving a Hospital and Shiki waiting to pick him up thus ending the movie and the series.

Minus a five minute epilogue that hasn't been released yet. Now I just have to hope that someone will have the good graces to license them for the states so that I can buy them and share how great this series of movies is. But that's life. I really enjoyed the movies and think that if you haven't checked them out for some reason you really should.

Here you can check out the trailer for the movie.

Weekly Review

Another week is over and thankfully this one wasn't nearly as eventful as the last one. Lots of stuff going on but not on my end of the things. My week wasn't nearly as busy but those over in Japan were really busy ramping up the first Super GT race of the season and you know what a new Super GT season means right....YUP! NEW Race Queens and while I haven't seen any posted just yet (the race was only a few hours ago after all) I did find one of the new Goodsmile Racing Race Queens. Not a very HQ image mind you but it's better than nothing.

So while my week was filled with editing and uploading videos and pictures from last Sunday's autocross event. To the point were I simply couldn't look at another picture of a car for a couple days my roommate decided to go off and get a doggie.

Yup we lose a roommate and gain a doggie. Yeah that's a fair trade I think. Of course that now means people will have to look out for epic amounts of LOLDog posts on facebook probably. But that's OK. So the weekend has been full of playing with the new dog. Guess it would be good to actually mention what he actually is. He's a black and white spotted Cocker Spaniel that is a touch overweight and runs sideways. He's definitely a fun little ball of energy though.

So yeah other than that I've been trying to follow the first round of the Super GT and more closely the going-ons of the Goodsmile Racing with Cox group and I found a lot of pictures including one of their new Race Queen outfits which are pretty cute and I also found some racing footage on YouTube of the race so I might not have to wait an entire week to see the race. I'm just happy that Goodsmile Racing was able to come in 12th which I believe is their best place since they started racing, better than the Z4 for sure.

Now I'm just relaxing and chilling out so I'm going to leave you with the Super GT racing coverage on YouTube that I found. Now hopefully I can find some cool pictures of the race and new race queens. Until next week.

Shooter Saturday -- H&K G36

It took me a while to decide what firearm to feature in today's Shooter Saturday and I finally settled on the H&K G36. There are several different versions including the civilian H&K SL8 version which some converted to semi-auto only G36k rifles. The reason I went with this rifle was sort of a round about process of elimination of H&K guns while looking at movies.

The G36 is definitely an interesting very late 20th century Assault Rifle that was designed in the 90's to replace the old G3 Rifle being used by the German Military. You can find the G36 in a ton of Hollywood movies as it looks very futuristic. The Rifle is interesting in it's design making good use of Steel inserts in a reinforced polymer case with see-through magazines with molded on clips that allow magazines to be clipped together. The fire mechanism is also interesting as a modified short stoke gas piston with the charging handle mounted to the top of the firearm allowing for ambidextrous use along with the fire-select switch and magazine release. With the gas piston system it also allows the Rifle to come with a skeletonized folding stock a first at the time for anything other than the crappy wire version that you could get with the AK-47.

As a civilian the only version you could get was the SL8 that had an entirely different modular stock I've seen both but haven't had a chance to fire either one as the SL8 was $2200 and the G36 was a privately owned conversion with a G3 trigger pack. I definitely wouldn't mind owning a converted semi-auto G36 it looks like it would be an interesting rifle to have and shoot. But until then you'll just have to watch some videos like I do.

There was a plan to create an SAW version of the G36 as well but from what I understood back in the day it was canceled because the rate of fire would melt the plastic furniture not exactly a good thing.

Foxy Friday -- Beautyleg

And yet another departure from a normal Foxy Friday post.  Mostly be because I was spending to much time trying to decide what lady to add to the ever growing Foxy Friday stable and I was looking at an updated thread on Beautyleg.  Which is a website that does some pretty tame but really nice photoshots of cute Asian ladies. So I figure since I can't decide on one lady at the moment I'll just pick a bunch of them all at once by doing a Foxy Friday post about Beautyleg. Why not right.

With a name like Beautyleg it's easy to guess that the website does more to showcase those lovely long legs of some assorted Asian hotties, and they do it really well. You'll find Foxy ladies in nylons, pantyhose, fishnets and just about every type of legging and even occasionally bare legged too. shoes can be pretty generic though so if you're a foot fetishist well there are a few feet only shots but that's like two shots a set so it's not even worth bothering with. Oddly enough they even have a few anonymous shots where you don't get to see the girl's face and from my experience with tokyotopless that can actually be a good thing.

Other than the actual website you can usually find complete sets on the internet or at least the best of the sets for free and I usually like Scanlover (have to be logging in for it to work) or a new site that I found which is called showgirls. And of course best of all there a ton of videos on YouTube. Seriously just search for beautyleg or just be lazy and click on the link and go straight to the search page.

If you're a fan of Foxy Asian ladies you really do owe it to yourself to check out Beautyleg and look at some fantastic examples of some great photography and some lovely Asian Foxes. Did I also mention they do a lot of picture taking at various shows as well and that's worth checking out as well.

Racing Miku Nendoroid

I want, I want, I want really badly to get my hands on another Japanese exclusive Nendoroid of Racing Miku for Goodsmile Racing but like the last one I'll probably have to pass on this one but that doesn't mean I can't blog about it's moe-some coolness right. Besides unlike all the other bloggers who have only covered the Nendoroid I'm also going to show you the real deal Racing Miku Itasha Porsche 911 GT3 RSR as well.

Since I was hella busy this last week with Autocross videos and pictures I missed out finding out that Goodsmile Racing had recently released their 2010 Racing Miku Nendoroid and Personal Sponsor packages on their Nicoshop. And while most people are most likely interested in just the moe Racing Miku Nendoroid figure I'm interesting in the whole deal and actually being a Sponsor since I think that's a cool idea. Since I missed out on the new release by a few days there is a ton of information out there already.

There are four packages-
7000yen($77.44us) basic package (nendoroid, keychain, ticket holder and Sponsor card)
10000yen($110.63us) basic package, hat and towel
30000yen($331.96us) basic package, hat, towel and messenger bag
50000yen($553.12us) basic package, hat, towel, messenger bag and Pitcrew shirt

What I haven't seen listed anywhere but I've seen on their blog are a couple different long sleeved shirts which might be available separately later. In any the above sets you only have until the end of March to purchase them so if I were you I get my butt in gear and figure out how to get them because you can only get them if you're in Japan (or by using a proxy service like Japan to door).

I heard a lot of people don't like her looks as she doesn't look like Hatsune Miku but you have to remember that she is actually a new Miku (hence Racing Miku) and not a redressed Hatsune Miku and that's why she looks different. Personally I like how she looks though so I guess to each their own.

Enough about the Nendoroid how about that new Itasha Porsche... well if you follow their blog you could see their progress on the Ita-fing of the Porsche and it's looking good for this weekends race. I haven't seen a full picture of it just yet and I hope to soon. I also wish their blog had bigger images as well but we'll probably have to wait until race weekend to see those. Until then here is probably the best of the images so far.

As far as I'm concerned I definitely like this Itasha look better than the old one with the Z4. I'm sure I will one of the few who likes this new car better than the old car though.

March 14, 2010 Autocross

It only took me like a week to finish editing pictures and uploading videos from this last weekends Autocross event but I think it was well worth it. Winter racing break is officially over with this the first Autocross event of the year and the first of many events for the upcoming season. Which will now include Rally Cross and drift events. And I'll be there for most of it.

The Snake River Region SCCA chapter had their first Autocross event this last weekend at the Idaho Center in Nampa ID and this first event was an interesting one. For starters it was on the same weekend as Daylight Savings Time so everyone was an extra bit tired for having to crawl out of bed an hour earlier than normal. Second even though it's already the middle of March it sure doesn't mean it's any warmer. It was a cold and sunny day. I didn't put up the umbrella because I wanted to sun to warm me up. My poor hand ached after the event from holding onto the camera in the cold.

I set up my gear for the best video shooting and totally got pwned by the sun since I was an idiot and forgot that the sun would be more to the south than would be good for pictures so I was having some issues with the sun especially since I didn't take the anti-glare lens for either cameras. Hey who doesn't like really shiny spots and harsh shadow.

As for the event itself the course had an awesome layout that was good for just about any car type. There was a huge turn out of cars for the first event with some 80 cars and drivers. Many of them returning from last year with new improvements and running in new run groups so it was going to be an interesting day and it definitely was. Those who graduated from the IMS run group into their respective new run groups showed that they could compete thanks to their time in the IMS class. Some people also showed off their winter down time projects from neon green rims to new suspension setups and wheels and tires.

I was out there all day shooting film and video and ended up with 129 videos and a little bit more pictures.

2010 Miss Roadster Show

So how do you kick off the new year of autoshows and motorsports events in Idaho? Well you start off with the Boise Roadster show. Since it's in March and it's rather cold how do you heat up the night? Well with the Miss Roadster show of course. This is the second year I've filmed the Miss Roadster Show and had to drag along a friend to take pictures.

The 2010 Miss Roadster Show was a bit smaller this year with only 15 entrants instead of last years 20+ entrants. There were a few repeat entrants this year and aside from the winner the runner ups were repeats from last year as well. I did like that there was a cute Asian lady just to bad she decided use hunting boots instead of camo high heels or something.

I'll admit that some of the girls are not the type that you would consider hotties but hey you still gotta give them props for getting half naked and on a stage in front of drooling boys. I'd dare you to do the same thing. Hey at least this year a girl didn't think it would be a great time to self pierce her belly button and bleed all over the place before the contest.

Since I dragged along a friend to take pictures it freed me up to take film of the girls. It was a bit hard considering we had a tall hottie sitting in front of us so I was constantly trying to film over her head but I got all the girls on their own video and then filmed the group and the winners. You can find all the videos on my YouTube page and the pictures of the show can be found on Flickr. I might go back and see if I can't work on some more but I'm right in the middle of doing all the car show pictures and the autocross pictures.

Weekly Review

What a week. This was a busy and fun week with lots of fun stuff a lot of work and a 13hr nappy time on Sunday which is why the Weekly Review is a day late. Since I have lots of pictures you'd think I'd use one for this post but no those are for their respective blog posts so it's even more lovely Race Queen goodness instead. I'm sure you don't mind.

So the beginning of the week was pretty no nonsense it wasn't until about Friday that everything got all sorts of a busy. First up was the 38th annual Boise ID Roadster Show. I dragged one of my friends along with so that he could take pictures of the Bikini Show while I filmed it. That was pretty interesting but had a smaller number of contestants than last year. I'll post more about that tomorrow. The Roadster show it self was smaller than last year as well and I don't think it was nearly as good but there was the Porsche 911 GT3 so I has happy about that. I'm still working on those pictures.

Saturday was supposed to be a yard work day but holy hell it snowed a pretty good amount on Saturday morning and stuck around until about midday. After that some friends came over and we all played a board game while a former roommate's girlfriend and mom came over to move out the rest of his stuff. After the game I got ready and headed out to the Saturday night MoNAC anime club meetup which was alright and it's good that we are sticking to our schedule which is nice.

Sunday was a blast minus the daylight savings time which sucks when you have to get up an hour earlier than you'd normally do. All for some home brewed motorsports in the form of Autocross. Even though it was cold it was nice and sunny and for the first event there was a huge turn out with some 80 odd cars and I did a lot of filming and photographing and I'll get to blogging about that probably on Wednesday. Mostly because it'll take me that long to get everything uploaded.

When we got home it was about 7pm and after watching The Simpsons I simply passed out and didn't wake up until this morning after a good 13hrs of glorious sleep. Which will suck when it comes to work tonight as I wont be tired again for some time. Anyways after posting this it'll be photo editing time so I'll have to leave you with something interesting to watch...

Shooter Saturday -- Beretta ARX-160

Another firearms company enters the new age battle rifle game. This time it's Beretta with their new prototype ARX-160 along with it's new GLX-160 grenade launch. Much like all the other new age battle rifles it takes the old M4 platform adds a bunch of plastic bits, ambidextrous ability and a few new upgrades to old systems. Thankfully the Beretta also adds a bit of looks as well.

I first found out about the ARX-160 when I saw a single picture of it while looking though the pictures of this years SHOT show. After seeing it I had to find out more about it. I found out the ARX-160 is a part of the Italian Military's Future Soldier program and that the rifle is still in prototype development.

So a quick look at the new rifle shows a few cool things that Beretta are doing. Most notably is their quick change barrel system that allows for barrel changes in the field with a simple button push. I don't think any of the other new age battle rifles have that option. However, just about everything else is the same as the others. Folding stock...check. Ambidextrous controls...check. Gas piston locking select fire operations...check. Modular impact-resistant polymer receiver system...check. A new feature with their receiver is that it features a new locking system that doesn't use removable pins. Rail systems up the wazoo for a thousand and one setups...check. The ARX-160 is also STANAG compliant so no need for new mags either. In the looks department it actually looks better than some of the other ones and best of all it comes in black. In addition to all this is the new GLX-160 grenade launch which can be mounted either under the ARX-160 or quickly mounted to it's on stand alone receiver system.

Probably the only thing that I don't really like on the rifle at the moment is the location and setup of the safety lever. It looks just a bit I don't know...not handy. In any case plan to see more and more of this rifle in the near future as it may get a civilian model and it would definitely something to keep an eye out for any ways.

Here is an interesting video of the gun. There are a few but this is the only one that I found where it's being fired.

Foxy Friday -- Racing Miku

OK today's Foxy Friday is going to be a bit different as I discovered recently a picture of the real life Racing Miku on the Goodsmile Racing blog and I wanted to share and maybe find out who the lovely lady is as I couldn't find out who it was on their blog.

I'm also wondering if this foxy lady is going to be their only "Race Queen" or if their will be others since they had three of them last year. Imagine a whole pit crew of cute Racing Mikus...LOL. OK that aside I do believe I also found a couple pictures of Racing Miku with out the outfit on (picture 1 and picture 2) so if any one knows who this is that would be great to be able to find out. Maybe I'll toss her picture up on Scanlover to see if any of them know who it is.

I'm just thrilled that their new racing effort is paying off and Racing Miku is turning out to be a very cute and foxy lady and I'll be looking forward to more of her in the coming race season. It'll definitely be interesting to see how it all plays out. Oh also it looks like they have started doing their Sponsorship deal but sadly again it is only open to those in Japan...poo. But you should still check it all out if you're interested in Super GT and cute Race Queens. I've been looking around for a video but I can't find one for Racing Miku so just this time how about a video of Goodsmile Racing's Porsche 911 GT3 RSR maybe until I can find a video of the Race Queen anyways.

Archer

If Bond worked for his mom at a dysfunctional spy company it would be called Archer. I was a bit meh the first time I watched Frisky Dingo but unlike all the other crap on [Adult Swim] it actually grew on me and turned out to be pretty cool. That's why when I heard the guys behind Frisky Dingo were up to no good making another cartoon you better believe I was going to check it out. And it freaking rocks. Archer is my new favorite American Cartoon.

Since Archer is from those guys I can tell you that this cartoon is messed up. But in a very fun good way. Archer is about a bunch of folks who work for Isis a more or less Private Security/spy agency run by an older lady who's son Sterling Archer is the main spy guy followed with his sorta sidekick/ex Lana Kana, the killer chick. Not to bad but what really sets this off is that it also includes the staff, those little peons who do all that behind the scenes stuff and while Sterling Archer is an ultimate tool who you love to hate the staff totally makes the show. Like Frisky Dingo this show likes to poke fun at spy movies every chance it gets and that's why I like it so much.

At first FX only ordered a hand full of episodes but it did so well that FX ordered an entire 2nd season of it, that's an additional 13 episodes. Hopefully it will continue to find those funny things to trash the spy movie franchise and make it even more fun to watch. Did you know that Lana Kana is played by the black geek goddess Aisha Tyler yeah need more of Lana and FYI good luck with Rule 34 so far I haven't seen anything.

You can catch Archer on the FX network on Thursday nigths, it's also on Hulu as well. More than likely around on the net as well. I'm definitely looking forward to more episodes.

FAKKU! T-shirt and cutie

SWEET! Last of the Tax Refund Swag showed up today and it's awesome. I was kind of worried about the message but it turned out right. In any case the most awesome FAKKU! T-shirt is here and it rocks. Even better are the couple of free gifts that came with it as well. While I got a lot of things with my tax refund the free gift that came with this has to be the best part of the entire haul.

If you are not familiar with FAKKU! you mustn't be a big anime/manga fan as FAKKU! is the place to go for all your naughty doujinshi needs. Recently they have begun selling some cool T-shirts including the famous Hen-tie (for Hentai duh) and when they released their name brand shirt I had to get one (also getting a hen-tie one as well later). When I saw that it was up for pre-order I snapped one up but didn't really read the description.

When I got the e-mail about my order they told me I forgot the message that I wanted on the picture and I had no idea what they were talking about. I had to go back and re-read the description and sure enough with the pre-order you also received one of two Cosplay Deviants prints of Ms Panda with a personalized message. I picked the one that went with my shirt and after a little bit of thinking I had them write something for the blog which I thought would be cool.

It was well worth the wait (took longer because of the personalized print) the shirt is well made, fits well (considering I got a bigger size than normal) and looks awesome. The print is awesome as well and the message turned out how I hoped it would so that is great, now I just need to find a good home for it. Here is a close up of the message... I (heart) the Hillbilly Otaku! The package even had a second gift included as well. I now have a cosplaydeviants.com lanyard too.

Thank you FAKKU!, Ms Panda and cosplaydeviants.com for the awesome swag.

Weekly Review

So how was the first week of March? Not to bad actually. Not a lot of stuff happened. Weather was weird and looking to do the same next week. It's sunny and nice one day raining like crazy the next day. Of course now it's time for the weekly review and a lovely Asian Race Queen to keep you entertained while you read the post. Have a great video at the end too...

What did I do that was exciting this week? Actually this week was pretty mundane, I did finally get pictures done of the stuff that I bought with my tax refund and oddly enough a day latter I did get a confirmation e-mail that the Fakku shirt that I ordered had actually shipped. I thought that was pretty funny when I actually realized what it was, at first I thought it was a spam e-mail since I hadn't ordered anything for a month and then a mysterious your package has been shipped e-mail shows up. But yeah I'll have a new shirt soon. I also bought a couple new pairs of pants so my grandma will stop yelling at me for having a holy knee.

When the sun finally came out this weekend I decided to go out and do some yard work. And while I was out there trimming the trees and racking up those long ass pine needles in the side yard I noticed a clickity clack sound of high heels. Looking up to see who it was and I saw one of the neighborhood girls walking down he sidewalk. I thought it was odd and I looked down at her feet and sure enough the girl, who couldn't have been more than in her middle teens, was wearing high heel shoes and not any ordinary pair either. These were a good 8in platform stripper type high heel. I was actually kind of surprised that she was able to actually walk in them but what the hell seriously what parent lets their teenage daughter out of the house in shoes like that. Finished up some more yard work today but we didn't get a repeat performance by the teenager in heels.

So I guess I'll just have to leave you with this video from the gravure idol turned voice actress Takahashi Chiaki:

Shooter Saturday -- M1911 Pistol

Another Shooter Saturday here to take a look at another awesome weapon. This time around a little something different than usual because we'll be taking a look at the very popular Colt 1911 handgun. Of course just about every arms manufacture makes a version of the 1911 in just about any small arms caliber you can think of. The 1911 has been around since well 1911 and it'll be here until we are probably wiped off the face of the planet. During this time not much has changed about the 1911 aside from improved parts the look has pretty much stayed the same since it was introduced. Only recently has anyone gone to the trouble of incorporating a picatiny rail into the lower frame.

I'm a huge fan of the 1911 my self and have fired many of them even though currently I don't own one myself. I've shot expensive full custom jobs and bare bone stock guns and honestly they all shoot the same to me. Some of those race guns are pretty interesting but it's like ricing out your car to me if your not shooting competitions.

You can read up all about the history of the 1911 from it's development by John Browning up until all of the latest developments on today's current version. There are also numerous internet forums available to interact with other fans of the 1911.

Foxy Friday -- Midori Yamasaki

What could get guys to forget about Toyota's recent recall slump? How about a foxy lady in a skimpy Race Queen outfit standing next to their latest awesome looking two door sport coupe. Definitely couldn't hurt and that is where we currently find this weeks foxy Friday lady Midori Yamasaki. Midori Yamasaki started off as a Zent Sweetie even winning Race Queen of the year in 2007. However it looks like she recently retired from working with the Zent Sweeties though.

Midori Yamasaki seems to be a very busy young lady doing the Race Queen thing in addition to photosets for magazines and TV appearances. She was even in a movie as well. Currently she is doing the car show circuit for Toyota. She was at TAS and the more recent Osaka Auto Messe. I actually found it rather difficult to find any real information on her until I searched using her Japanese name 山崎みどり which actually helped a lot in finding more information for her including her personal blog.

But then really are you here to learn about her hobbies and what she likes or are you here to find a good place to find some of her foxy pictures? You should have an account on Scanlovers so that you can check out her page there which happens to be 33 pages long and filled with some awesome pictures of her. Makes it actually hard to pick a picture to use for this blog post actually.

Using her Japanese name I was able to actually find a good YouTube video of her and not just some lame slideshow video, which is about all I could find looking for Midori Yamasaki.

2010 Tax Refund Swag

Yeah that only took me a while to finally get around to doing this blog post. But here it is finally. The only thing I'm still missing at the moment that I paid for is the black FAKKU shirt that I pre-ordered. And I have no idea when that will be coming out but meh I'm not worried about that. Of course this post also doesn't include all the glorious noms and assorted other little odds and ends that I picked up as well, I mean really do you want to see pictures of my shampoo and deodorant? Yeah I didn't think so either. So how about I get on with the show and tell then.

So this year didn't see a huge tax refund like I have before (that's both a good thing and a bad thing) so I had to spend wisely to get things that I wanted and things that I needed. It also meant I had to do a whole lot of window shopping to find the best prices on some of the stuff. All told I had about $1000 to spend and this is what I came away with:

Pelican 1510 camera case
Acer Aspire 5050
Porsche "Kills Bugs Fast" poster
Revoltech 066 "Gurren & Lagann"
Figma Ein
Canon 18-55mm kit lens
4gb SDHC card
Battery for the Video Camera
50mm wideangel lens for Video Camera
Eat Sleep Race Bottlecap stickers
JDMego "yuk" stickers
Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne DVD
Halo Legends DVD (picked it up a bit later after everything else)
Gurren Lagann Vol 3 Manga
Picked up a few blind box figures
.22 ammo

While the Laptop was the most expensive item that I picked up it was also one of the more needed items since my desktop is constantly having issues and I wanted to get a laptop for some time. I managed to find a pretty good refurbished Acer Aspire for just under $250 that had a pretty decent set up and I snapped it up. The only problems with the laptop are a few large scratches on the lid but given enough time I'll have all that covered up with cool stickers. Already have a few on there including one of the JDMego "yuk" stickers which I thought were pretty cool. The other yuk sticker is on the Pelican case.

The Pelican Casewas one of the harder to find things that I was looking for not because it was hard to find but getting a good deal on one was the problem. I finally got a steal when I found one with the foam included for a nice shipped price of $135 which was considerably lower than just about any other price that I could find. It was definitely a right time right place kind of deal. I'm really enjoying it and am adding stickers every chance I can to dress it up. Not only did it get the JDMego "yuk" sticker but it also got one of the Eat Sleep Race bottlecap stickers as well. I've also added some Idaho Motorsports stickers and a No Hardparking sticker as well. I need more though. The reason I got the case is because the one I had before was just to small for everything I had and I was getting tired of having to switch thins in and out all the time. Now I don't have to.

I was thinking of picking up a really expensive super wideangel lens but instead of spending $400+ dollars for one I found a less expensive option that would work just as fine. I found a Canon kit lens in 18-55mm that would work just as well for what I wanted for $90 shipped. Oddly enough when I did get it I had to spend an extra $.40 in shipping when it got here...D'oh. Anyways I've used it a couple times now and I love it.

As for the Porsche "Kills Bugs Fast" poster you have to understand that I'm a huge Porsche fan and when I was in High School Porsche started doing these ads and one of them was this image of the then new 993 Turbo with the slogan "Kills Bugs Fast" and I instantly fell in love with the ad and had it cut out and pasted on to my school binder. Fast forward several years and I find out that they had Posters of said image and I had to find one. For years I couldn't find one then they started showing up on eBay for some serious money. Lately though the price fell and I snagged this one up for a little over $25 shipped. I'm freaking happy to have it hanging on my wall.

My anime addiction continues to grow and I picked up some anime, manga and a couple figures as well. One of them was a pre-order that came in last minute and that was the Figma Ein from Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom. The second was another Revoltech and this time it was the Gurren & Lagann figure. I was a bit worried about it's authentic nature but once I got it and got a good look at it I wasn't worried anymore. I also picked up a few blindbox figures from a local place. On the entertainment front I only picked up a much loved anime series Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne, and when it finally came out the DVD for Halo Legends. The only Manga I picked up was the third volume of Gurren Lagann.

Finally one of the things that I picked up whenever I could was more .22 ammo it's sometimes really hard to find so when you find some you get it. I've used some of it already though.

And that folks is the swag that I picked up with my tax refund. Now I just need to go watch Rin again since I haven't watched it since I got it.

Welcome to the Space Show

Hey look here's an awesome looking Anime Movie. With a surprising half dubbed half subbed English trailer. What's that, how's that? Well Thanks to the movie Welcome to the Space Show being screened at the Berlin International Film Festival earlier this year we have an awesome English trailer to help grab viewers attention. Does this mean we'll see it in America earlier....fffffff yeah right. I still haven't heard of Summer Wars being licensed for America yet.

Here's the blurb about the show from ANN about what the show is --

Welcome to THE SPACE SHOW tells the science-fiction story of children who experience a space-spanning adventure. The story will begin in the countryside during the summer vacation of fifth grader Natsuki Oyama. Natsuki just moved here in June, and she and four of her schoolmates are about to embark on an adventure together that will take them beyond the fields they call home.

Sounds awesome right well it's even more awesome because it's from the creative team behind the R.O.D. TV series Besame Mucho so you know it will be interesting and not just for the awesome eyecandy on screen. And that eye candy on screen looks freaking amazing from the trailer hopefully it'll live up to the hype and hopefully when this gets released on DVD we can get a nice sub of it while we all what for someone smart enough to license it for America.

Anyways I predict it will make the rounds of the big US Anime Cons but the rest of us won't get a chance to check it out until it goes to DVD well into the fall so until then you can enjoy the trailer below. I'm really hoping I'm wrong though so we can all get a chance to see it sooner.

SRRSCCA Annual Tech Meet

Woot! First car post of the new year. Sooner than I had thought too. The first autocross event is just right around the corner so before that the Snake River Region SCCA chapter held it's first annual tech meet that allowed those drivers who qualified a chance to get their cars teched once for the entire year which should allow a speed up in the autocross events.

While also there the cars could be weighted and adjusted for corner balancing to help set up suspension for the next season of racing. A good handful of cars showed up for the tech meet including my roommate and about 15 other cars. I was there to hang out and take pictures. Sunday was one of those nice cool early spring days the sun was out but it was still pretty chilly.

While everyone was getting their car weighted and teched I was running around taking some shots. I broke out the new 18-55mm kit lens that I recently picked up this last winter and I have to say I like it a lot. It definitely allows me to get a lot closer to the cars than the other small lens I have did. I didn't really have a great time with the shop door being up because it caused a serious issue with the light that was coming in. I think I did alright with that though. Once I was outside taking pictures though the sun was a good thing.

I managed to get some pretty good shots in and was trying out some new things with the angles and what not. Not so much JDM angle Yo but something that would cut out other cars and fill the frame with the car. I was just experimenting really. Once I got home and started editing them I decided to try out something new that I found while digging around the raw editor and adding a bit of Vignetting to various levels to get different looks. I think it worked pretty well. I still didn't care to much for trying out HDR and really nothing I shot would look all that well but I did try it out and failed but I think I know why so I may try it again later at some point even though thankfully HDR is on it's way out as a fad.

In any case it was a nice day to hang out mess with cars and take pictures. I had a good time and people like the pictures so I'm happy.

That was a busy last week of February. Yes the second month of the year and the shortest is over and done with. And yes it was a busy week mostly car related shenanigans but I did break out the camera during the week. Mind you not for the reason I wanted to last week. Of course since I want to leave that for it's own post I'm going to let you check out a lovely Race Queen or two during your visit. SuperGT starts soon so we'll have a whole new crop of the lovelies to take a gander at.

So last week I helped my roommate install his new coil-over suspension from JIC. On a side note way to go JIC for not including ANY instructions for the install or even having instruction available on the internet. Thankfully with some help from someone who's installed other coil-overs before our install actually went faster than I had thought and the biggest hick-up to the process was getting the rear strut mounting nuts off. Every thing else went off and on rather easily. Of course now the hard part is adjusting the things correctly and making the fitment correct. Not Hellaflush or anything lame like that just set up correctly for kicking ass in autocross this year. We also stuck on some vinyl stickers but I got a little overeager and totally mucked one of them up. But the rest of them went on correctly and are looking good.

So that mostly took up all my free time during the week. Sunday was the first Annual Tech Meet and I went to that with my roommate so he could see what he needed to do in order to sort out his new suspension and I dragged my camera gear along and took some pictures. More on that tomorrow. So yeah spent the rest of Sunday editing pictures and currently writing this blog.

Not a bad week actually learned some new things while doing something constructive took some pictures even though I still haven't gotten around to taking pictures of the tax refund swag which I'm planning on doing tomorrow. I also still need to clean my guns from the last time out shooting. Anyways it was a good week and thank goodness February is over but damn the paycheck is going to freaking suck ass.

What cool and interesting video am I going to leave you with this time? Well hopefully whatever it is it'll last longer than a couple days. Some one really doesn't want that Japanese Kirsten Dunst video on YouTube.
