The legendary and World Cup winning Brazilian footballer is out to keep the prodigy from leaving the country and moving to Europe, just as he stopped Neymar previously. Brazilian legend Pele says that he will talk to Ganso and will try to stop him from moving from Santos to Europe in the summer. The 21-year-old starlet has consistently said that his future lies in Italy with reports rife in the peninsula that European giants AC Milan and Inter are keen to land the highly rated playmaker...[continued]

A world-renowned Bible scholar says the Bible is full of fibs, forgeries and downright lies.
By Anneli Rufus

Nearly half of the New Testament is a forgery, according to a world-renowned Bible scholar whose new book fingering the forgers is making evangelical Christians as mad as — well, hell. "Bart Ehrman has waged war on Christianity for years. This is just his latest salvo," snaps a FreeRepublic commenter. "Bart himself is a forgery. More of his usual tragic, groundless, infantile, bigoted narcissism enslaved to the father of lies, mammon ... a willful subtle prevaricator ... a disgusting, arrogant hack. God have mercy on his benighted soul," rages another at the Rightly Dividing the Word of Truth blog.

I recently asked Ken Fisher, longtime Forbes columnist and a member of our Forbes 400 list of the richest Americans, what he thought about fellow billionaire Donald Trump possibly running for president. Fisher thinks it’s a bad idea unless Trump’s only goal is to build his brand. Below are his comments on Trump and the sport of politics.

Why Indian and Chinese entrepreneurs are leaving America

As I explained in my last piece, skilled immigrants are leaving the U.S. in droves. This is because of economic opportunities in countries like India and China, a desire to be closer to family and friends, and a deeply flawed U.S immigration system. It doesn’t matter whether we call this “brain drain” or “brain circulation”– it is a loss for America. Innovation that would otherwise be happening here is going abroad. With all the stories we read about weak infrastructure in India, authoritarianism in China, and corruption and red tape in both countries, the perception is that these entrepreneurs are facing major handicaps back home. They have no chance of competing with us, so we have nothing to worry about, right? Wrong.

TRIBECA FUTURES | Kivu Ruhorahoza: The First Rwandan Filmmaker

Why He’s On Our Radar: The first feature film from a Rwandan filmmaker—ever—Kivu Ruhorahoza’s “Grey Matter” won a warm response at the Tribeca Film Festival, winning both a special jury mention and a best actor prize for star Ramadhan “Shami” Bizimana. The film follows Balthazar (Bizimana), a young African filmmaker on the brink of directing his first project, “The Cycle of the Cockroach.” When potential funders for the film insist the themes are too bleak and encourage Balthazar to make a “message” film that raises awareness about gender-based violence or HIV/AIDS instead, he refuses to give up—even if it drives him to the edge. Ruhorahoza explained that “Matter” is a movie “about imagination and madness.” He simply wanted to show the lives and confusions of young Rwandese people struggling with trauma. “I wanted to show on screen that loss of sanity that so many of us in Rwanda have experienced,” he said.

By Sophie PILGRIM

French football chiefs were accused Thursday of using secret quotas to limit the number of Black and Arab players in training programmes. French national team coach Laurent Blanc denies allegations that he supported the quotas. French investigative website Médiapart published a report Thursday that claimed to reveal a system of racial discrimination against young football players in national training programmes. Citing sources from within the French Football Federation (FFF), the website reported that academies had been asked to recruit no more than 30 percent of their players over the age of 12 or 13 from among Blacks or Arabs.

Call for Government to ‘Step Down’ Over Border

Sok Khemara, VOA Khmer
Washington, DC Thursday, 28 April 2011
“...this government must step down to allow Cambodia to avoid wars and losing land to the west and to the east.”
Exiled opposition leader Sam Rainsy issued on open letter Wednesday demanding that the administration of Prime Minister Hun Sen step down over his handling of the border conflict with Thailand.

If the government cannot peacefully resolve the border issue, he wrote, “this government must step down to allow Cambodia to avoid wars and losing land to the west and to the east.”

His letter came amid continued fighting on Wednesday and ahead of a reported ceasefire between Thai and Cambodian generals on the border Thursday.

Government spokesman Phay Siphan called the letter a “desire for attention” that ignored positive surveys that say many believe the country is moving in the right direction.

“Even though he does not have the support of the public, who are the Cambodian people, he still confronts [the prime minister],” Phay Siphan said.

The government is pursuing strategies to solve the border conflict with Thailand, he said, and the government is working with Vietnam to shore up border areas peacefully.

Sam Rainsy claims the government is ignoring the Paris peace agreement, which ensures Cambodia’s territorial sovereignty.

Sam Rainsy said his uprooting of markers along the Vietnamese border in 2009 was a victory. He is facing 12 years in prison sentences of a variety of charges stemming from his accusations that Cambodia has ceded land to Vietnam.

Both Vietnam and Thailand claim they have not encroached on Cambodian land
